For those parents who have fallen behind in their payments we may use collection letters and calls, interception of income tax refunds, credit bureau reporting, license suspension, administrative liens and interception of lottery winnings.

My name is James J. Volpone III, and I know of this incident, as Lone Star Surveys International was my Survey contractor on this project in Ada, OK. I hired Lone Star surveys to survey our seismic project when I was the operations manager for Sub-Surface Exploration out of Midland , TX.
This man that has filed the claim was in fact only a hired hand to assist with the seismic line clearing crew(hand slasher crew). As is with most contracted companies, some employees will pay thier hands a $50.00 a day truck rental agreement for the use of thier personal vehicles. It is also usual practice to pay at the end of the month, or even the end of the projects completion. Heath had contacted me about this guy, stating that I may receive a call from him to complain about his truck pay as he was making threats to call the client and me and explained to me the situation. I found nothing out of the ordanary with Lone Stars payment practices for truck rentals and informed Heath that it sounded to me like another laborer that has gotten himself into financial trouble and wanted to skip the normal payment proceedures and expected Heath to make a special provision just for him. I told Heath I won't even listen to this, as most of our workers don't speak english well, and he "misunderstood" the truck agreement with lone star surveys.
Heath admitedly stated that there was a little tight cash situation at the time so he could not set a presedence by paying these guys early, if he did it for one he would have to do it for all.
Lone Star Surveys International has always been my first choice of survey contractors in my 8 years as operations manager for Sub-Surface Exploration company, and the biggest reason for that is that I always considered thier company the best Surveying and mapping company out there for this sort of surveying. They have always been ethical in thier billing, and outstanding in thier performance as a sub-contractor. My clients have always praised their workman ship willingnes to work with them on payment schedules( this is the nature of this business) always waiting to be paid by my client to pay my contractors, nothing new, it's just seismic. Infact most companies these days only pay within a 90 day period for seismic contractors, and that will pass down to our survey, trucking, gear rental and other sub-contracted services. These contractors in turn will sometimes be forced into paying thier employees late. This was the situation with lone star surveys international. Sub-surface Exploration is now out of business, and closed owing heath alot of money in a BK, this put a crunch on lone star.
When I read this report on your site, the first thing that came to my mind was how slanderish this blanket statement was" doesn't pay thier bills, left town owning alot of people money? Are you kidding me?! Some laborer can just throw statements out there, and your company can print it as fact? Where's his proof? I have since spoken to Heath as I saw this while searching for lone star International on the web, and Heath told me this guy was paid 20 days later along with all other employees and yet this remains on your site. I advised him to get an attorney, and not only sue the worker for his slanderess statements, but to also go after your company for printing such rubbish with no verifiable proof of his comments. Yes, he was paid late, but believe me, if they left town(the same town they currently receive contracts to survey) I highly doubt that they would still be doing buisness in that state or any other state and still receiving contracts from clients whom actually know how they operate, and from workers wanting to work for them, and be associated with them. They have been around for over 25 years, and I suspect that they will remain in business for another 25 and beyond. This is not the profile of a company that doesn't pay thier bills. This really has angered me, and I'm encouraging Lone Star Surveys International to make an example of this worker and prevent future unsubstantiated claims of this sort from just being plastered on the internet from any looser that can spell his own name. This is my rebuttle to this mans report and to your company for posting it, shame on you!

Ray was a contractor to our company for almost 2 months, in which time we rented a truck from him so HE could get to work. We did not need to do this since we have company vehicles he could have got to work in. On his contract it reads clearly that he would be paid for his rental truck 1 month from the last day it was used. he was paid well within this time frame. I worked with him daily for these 2 months, he had my phone number, he had my contact info; and at no time did i get a call or email regarding this. If anyone needs references please feel free to call me, i have well over 100 employees and contractors that will vouch for Lonestar Surveys.
