I have a complaint about an adverisment that was in a neighbor paper that was deliever to my home on april 20, 2002, there is an ad in this paper for long beach plaza liquor with coupons.
I went in to purchase abottle of smirnoff liquor for the price of $17.99 for a 1.75 liter with coupon, i was told my the clerk it was not that 1 ,on the coupon there is no proof,i have th whole page of coupons and there is no proof on any of them.
There were several patrons on line behind me and they said the store should honor the coupon. but they didnt. in my opinion that is false adverisment and bait and switch tatic

My name is Ronnye Varsov, and I am the owner of Long Beach Plaza Liquor. "John" (he didn't use his real name) was our only regular buyer of Smirnoff 100 proof. In 24 years of doing business in Long Beach, we have only put regular Smirnoff, which is 80 proof in any coupons, not the flavors of Smirnoff, and not the 100 proof. 'John' was upset that he couldn't have the 100 proof vodka for the coupon price instead of the regular. Had the cost of both been the same, we would have gladly accommodated him, unfortunately this is not the case. To date, this has been our only complaint to the Better Business Bureau since 1984.
Also worth noting, "John' is still a regular customer.
