Between 12/18/2014 through 12/24/2014 Lord And Taylor department Store ran a coupon for 20% regular and sale items. Before placing my order, I reviewed the "terms", "conditions" and "exclusions" in the details of the coupon. None of the items I wanted were included in exclusions.

12/22/2014- When I tried to place my order online, the coupon code wouldn't work. I placed a call to Lord and Taylor Direct and all of the representatives could not get it to work, and couldn't understand why based on the details of the coupon's exclusions. Every time I asked for a manager I was placed on hold for a lengthy amount of time. After so many minutes (20+) of waiting for a manager, I was told that a manager would call me back. I never received that phone call.

The third time I called, I asked to speak with a manager. One was never put on the call, yet they used the representative as a middle man. This "manager" told the representative to tell me that the items I wanted were included in its "own" sale that was not included on the coupon. THAT MAKES ENTIRELY NO SENSE! I asked for a further explanation, after adamant refusal of the manager getting on the call, I demanded to speak with upper level - they refused.

How is it that you place a coupon out for use, and restrict everything not stated in the "exclusions" printed on the coupon. Its false advertisement; ALL I AM ASKING IS FOR LORD AND TAYLOR TO HONOR THE COUPON!

I'm glad to know we read the same coupon. Are you the coupon police? Nowhere on MY coupon does it say that they can refuse it any time. Matter of fact, if it's not explictly stated They HAVE to honor it- THATS THE LAW! Best believe, I have NO problem shopping elsewhere, or simply keeping MY MONEY in MY POCKET. Their LOSS, NOT MINE!

but they don't have to honor it if they chose not to. Its not like you can contact the coupon police. Its a INTERNAL PROMOTION!!!! Which means that IF you read carefully you will see somewhere on said coupon in the fine print that THEY can cancel it at ANY TIME and for ANY REASON!! If paying NORMAL retail is too much for you, then shop else where.
