LOWE'S ST. PETERSBURG'S DRUNK DEPARTMENT MANAGER WADE

I have to say, I was very disappointed in the treatment I recently received at the Lowe's store located on 22nd Ave. in St. Petersburg, FL. Two days ago, my wife and I went into Lowe's to buy a Jacuzzi, when we approached one of the employee's to get more information on the different models, we had to wait while he finished a telephone conversation. That in itself wasn't an issue since we assumed that he was dealing with another customer, however, as we waited, it became increasingly clear that this was a personal conversation, one in which we had to wait for over 20 minutes.

Since the other employee in the department was busy with another customer, we patiently waited until Wade finished his conversation. After finally ending his conversation, he turned and started to walk away from us! I said "Excuse me, sir, we've been waiting here to have some questions answered about a purchase we are considering. Can you help us?" He then turned back to us, but his attitude was that we were wasting his time, and this before we'd had a chance to ask any questions. I proceeded to ask questions regarding the different models and number of jets in the Jacuzzi's we had been looking at.

His attitude still did not change, acting as if we were bothering him. As a Manager, I felt that he should have been more accomodating. In addition, it was obvious by the smell, that he had been drinking alcohol.

Personally, I feel that his attitude towards myself and my wife, coupled with the strong smell of alcohol, is not the type of employee, much less a manager, that I would want to have representing my business. After that incident, I have decided to do my business elsewhere, and I have to wonder how many other potential customers have received the same treatment from this particular employee.

I sincerely hope that someone will look into this matter, unfortunately, I was unable to find out more than that his first name was Wade, he was the Manager of plumbing, and the store number was 740.
