One of Luke Lowrey's scam methods is exposed by a nice video on youtube:

In my case, I did purchase the Vertical Project for $1.00 in November 2009.  The basics of the offer will follow.

The idea was, someone was selling out of business, and would only be in business for 4 more days.  so they were letting this system go for just $1.  There were free bonuses and everywhere the reassurance that there were no tricks or gimmicks.

Later, they removed that website (in 4 days as promised), but then started charging my credit card $59.95 each month.  I was so busy with school, I didn't notice the first charge, but when I saw the second, I called CitiBank to cancel it.  They informed me that a third charge had also been added.  CitiBank would not remove the charges, despite the fact that I did not authorize them.  Even if somewhere buried in the advertizing it had said there would be these charges, that would have contradicted numerous, high profile shouting about "no gimmicks", etc.  If the company was going out of business in 4 days, why would I sign up for some kind of coaching or whatever I was supposed to get for $59.95 per month?

Here's some of the ad:

For years, Double Your Vertical Leap
has sold for over $297, $397 and v3.0
(the current version) sells for $499.

                 Every-single-fricken-day.

                 But for you?

                   For today?

                 --> IT'S JUST $1 DOLLAR.

I'm holding this special sale as a way
to say "GOOD-BYE AND THANK-YOU" to all
the wonderful young athletes that have
                used my system.

This will be your final and best chance.

And I'm giving this gift to athletes
who will never get the chance again,
once I complete the sale (see my email
               from yesterday).

               Is there a catch?

YES. This is only for 4 days.

                 Don't believe me?

end quoted portion.

Do not buy anything or let this thief near your personal information.  He is deliberately stealiing.  The representatives I dealt with after discovering the theft were completely uninterested in helping in any way.

AUTHOR: Josh - (United States of America)

The Vertical Project (or Double Your Vertical Leap) is a vertical jump program produced by Luke Lowrey. As an affiliate of the program and a purchaser of the Double Your Vertical Leap v3.0 system, I can say that the results are mixed.

Luke uses deceptive techniques, including asking for a credit card to pay for supplements. You can REJECT all of these advances and NOT enter your credit card. However, it is not an easy process. I had to email sales directly to get a download link. I was not charged any additional fee above the purchase price.

I run the http://bigtimeups.com/blog/ website where I review a number of top vertical jump programs. I have listed Luke Lowrey's Double Your Vertical Leap v3.0 as a good product. The product works, but it is BUYER BEWARE on the sales process. I sent an email to Luke directly after I was getting a 40% refund rate on my affiliate sales.

Overall, the product is fine -- but Luke has a very deceptive checkout process.

The real website for Luke Lowrey and his company in Beverly Hills is: http://www.verticaljumpreport.com/

Please update the link in the title as BigTimeUps.com is not associated with Luke Lowrey other than through standard affiliate commissions.
