DO NOT RENT HERE!!!

Carnegie building on 9th/Broadway.

GREG STRANGMAN OF LWP GROUP,  IS A  SLUM LORD.

Your lease has a stipulation in it, that you CANNOT BREAK YOUR LEASE DO TO THE SURROUNDING NEIGHBORHOOD.  Meaning, there are dozens upon dozens of homeless drug addicts living on this block, and management does NOTHING to insulate you from them.

Literally everything attractive about the building has downsides:

ROACHES.  God help you if you live on the 1st floor.

Keyed/secured entrance/callbox -  There used to be a code to get in without a key, but the drug dealer on the 1st floor(still living there as of 8/28/21) gave it out to their customers that live on the street so drug addicts will wonder around the building trying to open random apartments looking for their dealer.  The code has been disabled now, but that doesnt stop people from letting the homeless in anyway!

Video Cameras - NO ONE IS WATCHING THEM, and if you want to see the footage, you need to put in a request/police report.  That should be a nice hurdle for a rape/assault victim.  Mail was being stolen for OVER A YEAR.  Management knew and didn't do a d**n thing.  Your stuff WILL get stolen.  Drug addicts WILL sleep in the hallways, or try to get into your unit.  Safety is CLEARLY not a concern for LWP Group.  Once again, the cameras are useless.

Cool older apartments -  Literally everything is painted over with multiple layers of cheap, white, latex paint.  Good luck getting drawers/cabinets/doors to open/close correctly.  Everything has been fixed as cheaply as possible, so as to fall apart during your time here.  Then it's YOUR problem.  The summer humidity causes the paint to bubble and peal (Oops!  There goes your security deposit!!)  Stains drip down walls after showers. And the best part.  LOCKS ARE NOT RE-KEYED BETWEEN TENANTS.  So any number of people are running around with keys to your apartment!  But don't worry!  YOU can pay to have them re-keyed, by the buildings APPROVED locksmith of course.

Rooftop garden/patio - What a joke.  The low-income building across the street looks better.  Ours is full of random trash plants.  Theres a list of rules to follow if you hang out upstairs on the roof.  Every last one of them gets broken daily/nightly. From glass bottles, to smoking, to dogs crapping in the fake grass.  What a GREAT place to hang out with your friends! Right?!  Once again, there are cameras but remember, no ones watching or cares!

In all:

The aesthetic of the building is great, and the image they're selling is carefully curated to entice college-aged tenants into renting here under the premise of a "quirky community" feel, but once you get inside, you see that everything has been done as cheaply as possible and you're the one that has to suffer through it while dodging homeless people in the halls.

This place is dangerous.  You've been warned.
