My fiance and I retained this man's services on Nov.18th, 2008. We retained his services to get rid of the pigeon problem we were having on the roof of our house. His services as agreed upon and written in his estimate were to 1) Clean the areas where the pigeons sit 2) Using a bleach solutions to kill any disease the pigeons may be carrying 3) Putting down a gel repellent that creates a sticky surface in which the pigeons dislike so they would not land and poop. He also guarantees his work for customer satisfaction and quotes his gel repellent is good for one year. This product was to be used on all the areas the pigeons sit and pooh.

He came out sometime the following week after Nov 18th 2008 to do these services for a total amount of $667.50. At first look we were fine with his work. He had powerwashed all the pigeon pooh off the roof of the home, I'm assuming applied the bleach as promised and put up the gel in all areas the pigeons land.

Within 1-2 weeks we immediatley noticed that a spot had been missed for applying the gel. There was still a part of the roof the pigeons were landing and poohing down the front of our home landing in our driveway. I called him sometime in early December to let him know of the one spot missed and he said no problem to call his receptionist and make an appointment for him to come out and get that last spot. I made the appointment with his receptionist in which I had to be at home from 8am-2pm so I had to take this time off of work so I could be there to meet him. I waited for 6 hours he never showed or called. After the 6 hour wait I called the receptionist and she apologized he had been overbooked and again rescheduled with me from now 8am-1pm for another weekday in which I would have to be home again. I took off work yet another day to do this and again no show, no phone call. I called the receptionist again and she apologized profusely but did not seem to know why he never showed or called and suggested I call him directly.
I reached him immediately and he first blamed his receptionist for overbooking him and then changed his story that we were way too far out of his way and he would have to call us when he could come back out. He then asked me to describe the area and as I did he became extremely disgruntled, anxious and short tempered. Screaming at me as to the location of the pigeon pooh. I explained he could not miss the area because it was on the front of the home and to just look for the pigeon pooh and where it lands in our driveway. There was so much of it, we had to hose it off every day. We left it so he could see exactly where it was coming from.

Needless to say that was more than a month after he had done the initial service. He never came out or called us again. I called his cell phone almost 2 dozen times between early December and mid February without one returned phone call. I left messages over and over that were never returned. Finally, I used a friends cell phone to call him and this time he immediately answered and once he heard it was me said he was busy right then and his wife was in surgery. I don't believe this as this man is a pathological liar. The point is he answered other numbers that were not mine. I don't think this was coincidence. He finally came out one Saturday in March in which he called our home spontaneously in the morning and said he would be out in an hour. When he showed he spoke with my fiance and looked at the spot that needed the gel and replied "Is that what all the fuss is about?" He said he would be back that week to get that last spot with the gel repellant. We never heard from him again.

It is now APril 27th 2009 and this has been going on since Nov 18th 2008. Bottom line is we never made any fuss we just simply asked him to finish the job he started, in which he agreed and then avoided us and ignored us for the next 5 months. He was so arrogant and rude we simply cannot figure out how this person has a business. If he does not like to do jobs in Surprise AZ he should not take them and run with the money and not finish the job.

We finally had another company out April 8th 2009 and they are coming to fix the problem once and for all. We now have 4 pigeon nests up there and the problem has now become worse. They mentioned several times what an amateur job Magic Pest Control did and did not recognize the name of his company but said he was definitely negligent in his work. What's worse, is the gel he used is not made to be used in Arizona because of the extreme temperatures and now it is melting all over our roof down the side of our house. It looks like our house is leaking oil. The gel repellant... we found out after calling several pest control companies is mainly used in states like CA where weather is more mild.

We are asking for him to refund 1/2 of our monies in order to pay for the job he did not finish. We no longer would be interested in him finishing the job as he is not a professional.

We are a Better Business Bureau Certified Company with an A+ rating in customer satisfaction. We do appreciate that, like a competitor may do, placed as many "keywords" in your title as possible to try and tarnish my reputation.

If you were a customer, you may have reported to the Better Business Bureau?

If so, with an A+ rating it is hard to criticize, rationally or irrationally, our phenomenal work, don't you think?

We are the best pest control company in AZ and this is obvious. 

My company, employees and myself are all outstanding members of society. Many of our pest control technicians are IAFF Members who work on putting out fires, conducting medical attention to those in need, and as firefighters are often called above and beyond their loved duty.
