MEC and its agent, Liberty Mutual, have arrogantly committed Workers' Compensation fraud in order to deny Workers' Compensation benefits to a longtime employee who suffered an industrial injury. This seems to be standard practice for Liberty Mutual, under the heading of "good business." To delay and deny until the injured worker either gives up or dies means more money for the corporation. It does not seem to matter whether actual worker fraud is actually suspected. Besides, MEC and Liberty Mutual can always work out a deal at the end to benefit their corporations. They can afford to wait for years, gathering interest on the money they save by delays and denials. It is criminal, in every sense of the word.

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Typical for Liberty Mutual to deny claims

AUTHOR: Exlibertyemployee - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 17, 2009

This is done to bring more dollars to Liberty Mutual, even though they know that they have to pay out.

As an ex-employee of Liberty Mutual, I can assure you that the only thing that Liberty Mutual is interested in is the mighty dollar. They treat their employees like crap and nepotism is rampart within the company. So, it comes as no surprised that their clients are also treated like crap. When I had an argument with my manager about putting clients first, I was told that I should be looking out for the best interest of the company, afterall, it was Liberty Mutual who was paying my salary. Liberty Mutual's slogan should be, "our policy? Not our responsibility!"

UNFORTUNATELY, YOU WORK FOR FRANKIE STRONACH

AUTHOR: Sherri - (U.S.A.)

The same man who made the remark "oh well, that's horse racing" after Barbaro broke down at the Preakness.

As a racehorse owner, I feel that Frank Stronach and Magna have done more to hurt the racing industry in California most people could imagine. And he is wondering why racing is dying in California. His big thing is union busting, something he did successfully with his auto parts manufacturing business. Surprised that this hasn't happened yet with the employees at Santa Anita and Golden Gate (though most people I know employed at Golden Gate would agree with your assessment of the work comp situation). He'll spend millions on new flower pots and that horrid big screen in the infield, but a longtime worker can lose everything after being injured on the job.

I do hope that you have a Work Comp attorney. If you don't contact me through the EDitor and I can refer you to a really good one in Pasadena who fights the tracks and trainers on a regular basis. Magna doesn't give a @$#$..you need to make them.
