MALIBU TRUST CO rip-off! SANTA ROSA California

Applied for a loan over the internet, recieved a call about a week later and was told that I had been approved but since I did not have a co-signer I would need to pay for loan protection insurance to cover the loan if I became un-employed. I then was told that I need to wire $882.15 to Timothy Martin who was the insurace broker located in Essex Junction for Watermark Ins. co.

I wired the money call Nancy McKenzie @ Malibu trust co with the control # then she told me that they would send the ck for $5000.00 over night Federal express this was Nov 26th then on Nov 29th I recieved a call from Nancy saying the insurance agent was ok with me having basic covergage so he wanted me to have the full package , so I need $765.00 and I told he that I did have that so she ask how much could I come uo with so I told her $500.00. She said she would check with Tim and call me back. Later that afternoon she called back to say that they would cover the balance and for me to go ahead and wired the $500.00.

I wired that $500.00 and called with ref# and was not able to reach her,so that when I got supscious and called moneygram to see if I could stop the trancation and at this time thy informed me that the money had been collected in Canda.

In the process Nancy had called me back and said that the check had been sent to Federal Express overnight and that I should have it by 10:00 am the next day. On Nov 30th is when I talked with the Santa Rosa police dept and was told that the address of 418 Santa Rosa ave was the address of the Greyhound bus station. The FBI has been contacted and the local police dept.
