Manhattan beach venture LLC are scam.  First they have you sign a ridiculous contract which includes POA.  They leave out information or lie to you about their services.  They get you a loan through equitable acceptance for $1314 on your line of credit (they can do this because of the POA).  Equitable acceptance has horrible reviews, outrageous interest rates of 20.99% and fees. So you will have another never ending loan to pay on for 4 years at least. They lie to you about loan forgivenss stating you don't have to pay on your loans for a year but really they put them in forebearance and are building interest fees.  It is hard to actually get a hold of someone and when you do, they say you can't cancel.  They say they have already submitted applications through the DOE for loan forgiveness but can't provide you with any username or passwords.  My current lender Navient has said this is scam also.  We paid the fee of $1314 upfront due to outrageous fees, so we have yet borrowed another loan.  I feel they did not provide us with proper services and we definitely do not want any of their services, so we shoud be entitled to our money back.  Everyone please stay away from these people, they are scam.  If you look up loan forgiveness this is something you can do yourself for free and not be charged with a fee of $1314.  If you look up any loan scams, you should not be paying any fee for services.  To get the word out so noone has to deal with this scam and stress, don't sign anything, don't give them any personal information; stay away.  I feel they did not provide services, they lied to us and we should get a full refund of $1314.  I will be contacting a lawyer and would rather give them the money instead of seeing this scam place get anything.  I hope Manhattan is happy 2 kids will not be having much of a christmas this year.
