I bought a new Lincoln Ultimate Towncar, dealer first used bait and switch. On Car.com they advertised an Ultimate "L" with124"WB, namigation system, when I called to buy it, they said Oh, that car was sold months ago but we have another regular Ultimate and will add an aftermarket navigation system.
Window sticker clearly stated the car came with chrome/aluminum and they delivered car with painted aluminum rims. Dealer said it was a misbuild by Ford Motor Co. Ford said their invoice showed the car was ordered with chrome rims. Local Lincoln dealer verified the car had the wrong rims on it.
I have spent 3 months dealing with this dealer and they keep stalling, giving me one excuse after another,saying they are working with the Ford Zone Mgr. It's obvious they are hoping I will go away, no way. If Ripoff doesn't work, my lawyer says its a slam dunk since I have the window sticker with the options, yet this dealer plays the car game of stalling, lying, and whatever it takes to get rid of a customer. Why should I have to spend money for litigation when all I am asking for is what I have coming. These rims were stated clearly on the options for $895.00. How in the world can a Lincoln dealer treat a customer with outright theft.
They even went as far to say that this car came from the factory with the aluminum rims. Ford Co says chrome, I believe Ford Motor Co. The Lincoln Div says they can't intervene becaue they say its a sales issue and the dealer has to resolve it. At one point in time, I offered Mr. Jaffe an inexpensive solution, send me four chrome rims, $285.00 to change tires, ship rims both ways, he first agreed then backed out saying he was applying to Ford Motor Co. for a "misbuild" hoping the Co will take care of his mistake. Why would a dealer with a supposedly good reputation give me such a hard time, especially when I paid them $37000.00 cash and they can't even treat me with respect. This was my last resort to be civil.

Just to let our readers know that if you fight back, you can have a bitter-sweet victory over some of these businesses out there that are trying screw the little guy over. I had to hire an attorney to win but it was worth it thinking another car dealer was ready to screw you over. They totally ignored my until my attorney wrote them a letter threathing a slam dunk case, making them move off dead center and they wouldn't have moved an inch if they didn't think they were wrong. Why, why do we have to go through this mess, because they will try to say go f--- yourself, well the laughs on you, and it was the principle that made me pissed off. Hopefully but not expecting that they will think twice before sticking someone else.
