Manulife Financial SQUARE ENIX, LLC The SCAM CONTINUES Niagara Falls, Ontario

It appears from the preceding report that not much effort has been made on the part of Manulife Financial to apprehend the perpetrators of this scam.
 
    I just received by US Mail a letter from with a Manulife Financial letterhead and a Check (#7459) for $3950.00 drawn off the Union Bank, N.A., Los Angeles, Ca from Account Number 122000496, Account holder SQUARE ENIX, LLC, 999 Sepulveda Blvd, El Segundo, CA 90245. The letter informs me that I am a winner of $50,000 in the "UK & NORTH AMERICA CONSUMER PROMOTION DRAW", and telling me that I need to contact a claim agent named RAY STEVEN at 1-289-981-8275 for furthur instructions on how to claim my winnings. The "Goverment Taxes, Insurance, & Processing Fees" are $2450 US Dollars. The letter is signed by a Sheila Harris (President Finance).

    This is obviously a scam, and after reading the above post, I intend to ignore it, but the check and the letter both look quite legit. I am posting this for informational purposes so some other poor sucker does not get hosed by these dirtbags.
