Mark Watson from Watson Engineering is extremely dishonest and is certainly not a man of his word. I had an agreement with Mark Watson for the purchase of a company vehicle that he had posted on Craig's List. I had numerous phone calls and emails with him. I had sent him a $500.00 deposit to hold the vehicle, purchased an airline ticket, and took a loan out at Wells Fargo.

Mark had been sent the confirmations and scanned documents for everything. He knew that I had incurred a loan origination fee of $99.00, let alone the time at the bank to actually get a loan. He knew that I had purchased a non refundable $135.00 airline ticket. He had been sent a $500.00 deposit. The deal was absolutely done and a lot of time had been put into it. I didn't even dicker with him on the price- I was paying his full asking price!

Just a few days prior to heading from Washington State to Sacramento, CA, Mark emailed me saying he was really sorry for the inconvenience but a local buyer came by with cash and he sold it out from underneath me. I maybe could have expected something like that from just "some guy" selling a vehicle and I probably never would've actually even attempted to do a long distance purchase but since this man is a business owner and seemed so nice and honest on the phone I felt comfortable with doing this long distance purchase.

I wasted a week of my time on a vehicle that was desperately needed. Mark promised to send me back the loan origination fee and the airline ticket fee but he never did. I did end up recovering my deposit which I feel fortunate to have gotten back but still it was a low down and rotten move on his part to do what he did. He should have kept his word and honored our agreement or he should have never agreed to a long distance purchase in the first place and never allowed me to take out a loan that I had to turn back in to the bank or purchase a non refundable airline ticket.

Fortunately, I did end up getting a similiar vehicle elsewhere about two weeks after Mark Watson pullled this on me. The whole ordeal created stress and financial hardship, it also set me way back on jobs because of the extra two weeks it took me to get a different vehicle. I want Mark to know that it is not okay to be dishonorable. I want him to know that the person he did this to is a very honest and hard working single mother of two small children who runs a small business to make an honest living and that my life is hard enough as it is let alone having someone do what he did to me. It wasted valuable time and money unnecesarily, precious time and money that I do not have a lot of. I did not need Mark Watson to make things even more difficult!

In short, beware! If he was willing to do what he did to me, he will most certainly do it to anyone else whom he comes into contact with, whether it be a personal or a business deal. His unscrupulous colors have come out!
