When the Attorney General cracked down on car dealers in early 2008 and hit them with huge fines, I would have thought that the deceitful advertising In Massachusetts would have been cleared up. Unfortunately, this is not the case with Marlboro Nissan.
Marlboro Nissan, located in Marlboro MA, serving the Worcester market, continues to use pressure selling. Now, however, they do not even bother to try to make you happy! All over the internet, they advertise on AutoTrader and Cars.com as well as their own website marlboronissan.com with hidden money. They advertise a low buy price designed to get unassuming customers like myself in the door, then hit you with their hidden fees and get pissed off if you do not accept it.
Where is the Massachusetts Attorney General now? I hope this report gets a good Google ranking and sticks right next to Marlboro Nissan's own website. Therefore, other consumers like me do not take a drive to a place that starts their consumer process by lying to their potential customers.
Marlboro Nissan ripped me off by wasting my time. I even called a sales rep on the phone to confirm the price and that there was no catch and they still lied and said that the price as advertised is all I would have to pay.
Deceitful & Dishonest is how I would characterize Marlboro Nissan!

Tim,
Thanks once again for pushing bad press in our direction! No one here is stating point blank that some of bad press out there is coming from you or your company. Marlboro Nissan. It is a bit much when a Q and A is done with you on a piece of bad press about us. Would you want that done to you? I think not.
I for one have a family that I am trying to support. I do all I can to complelty satisfy each and every customer out there. Go above and beyond and do what others wont for my customers. But for you to out right put us in this headline is absurd. Ever thought that there are just people out there trying to get at all dealers? Yourself, myself, and anyone they can. We are in the same business trying to make the same name and living for ourselves and our families. I hope you sleep well at night knowing that this was a direct shot off the bow from Marlboro Nissan directed at us.
If you have anything to say to me directly please feel free. You know the number and I will leave it below. But this non-sence has to stop!

I got a call last week from my AutoTrader rep asking if we, Marlboro Nissan, knew anything about the slew of bad online press Bertera Nissan had been receiving over the last few months.
Since it is our policy not to encourage negative propaganda about our competition, I informed him that we received a call from an anonymous source doing a story on Bertera Nissan and their bad practices. I made it clear to that source that we would not comment on any allegations of our competitors business practices, but would be glad to speak to our own business practices and how that has aided in our success as a franchise.
This person has since published numerous online articles with content that holds Bertera Nissan in a negative light. Rumors have reached us of availed threats of legal action from various persons inside the Bertera organization, but we choose to ignore such rumors until such time as they should become fact.
The reason for this back story is because the article posted here about Marlboro Nissan is an exact duplicate of an article posted about Bertera Nissan. I would hate to think this is the unfounded reaction of an employee of Bertera Nissan assuming that Marlboro Nissan or any of its employees were behind the negative content being published about their company. It is our hope that this does not continue to escalate.
