Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

Hired Louis Martin to make a marine sunbrella  bimini top and seat cover. 
Bimini top and seat cover were not made from sunbrella but from other inferior product that bled dye from the cover into my brand new seat upholstery.  The dye was not removable and cost me $1,650.00 to replace.  
Louis Martin has been totally unprofessional and did absolutely nothing to correct the issues caused by his negligence no matter how many attempts were made for this request.
Louis Martin is a scam artist and should not be allowed the opportunity to do this to someone else.

Frustrated With The Situation

To Whom It May Concern:

I personally know  both individuals, and was there when the transaction occurred. Mr McClure has been a very difficult person since we began doing business with him. Mr Martin is a very hard-working family man, he has no NEED,nor WANT to have these personal attacks on his character and intergrity as a businessman. At the time of contract, his business was conducted with  SUNBRELLA TOPS INC....not Martin Marine Industries USA Inc. As Mr. Martin previously stated, he had his vessel sitting in a NON IDEAL location,which is where the problem began. I will attach pictures to show what I am referring to. We have a LONG list of very happy and satisfied customers that is more than willing to express that,and I have no problem in putting them together with Mr.McClure so that they can tell HIM how WRONG he is.  Inclusive in that is one of our state Congresswomen which we took care of and even got a letter of RECOMMENDATION!

In so many years of business, we have NEVER had to deal with something like this, we ALWAYS strive to make our customers happy, and unfortunately Mr.McClure was the one customer we had a problem with.

 Please note that I/we at Martin Marine Usa strive to satisfy all of our customers needs and do not wish to have any complaints from any of our customers. Although the author of this 1 and only complaint is of an unsatisfied customer ,we wish there would have been a better result to this situation

  We will be providing Rip Off Reports with a list of many, many satisfied respectable customers to combat this unfair attack on a small business like ours in hopes of reassuring all of our possible prospects.

  The author of the complaint was extremely belligerent and disrespectful in his dealing with this situation, and continues to harass me and my company.

Although I refuse to deal with anyone of his nature...(I did not know him to be this way before this negotiation)..

I acknowledged his complaint and did my best to resolve it.

As towards my using a different material than he mentioned , it is a statement of fact that the material used was from the same manufacturer and came with a 3 year warranty which has never been addressed. Also it is worthy to mention that the author of the complaint DID receive his product in full and was even given an additional huge discount in an attempt to resolve this situation. We even gave him specialty Rattle free fittings at no charge for his Stainless Bimini Top once again showing my/our willingness to remedy the situation.

It is also worth mentioning that the author had his vessel double- covered (one made by me and a full boat cover made by someone else over mine),under a tree, in his front yard during the rainiest part of this year so far and he did not properly vent the boat...the cover which I made  for his seating was one to be used periodically(so that he wouldnt have to use the full boat cover) allowing the humidity to escape which he did not do by continuously leaving the cover on for approximately 2 1/2 weeks.

 Under these circumstances it is hard to believe that mildew on his already two year old interior would not be present...but once again due to his nature ,this could not be verified.

So in summary, he wanted me to pay for his 2 1/2 year old interior as if were new and my response was that I could not and still could not afford to do so.

As towards me being a scam artist...Wow...there should be a law against this type of personal attack..

I will choose the higher road on this one and let my reputation speak for itself.It is my belief that responding to this report in the timely professional manner that I have should also show my honesty and openess in all of my business dealings.

If anyone wishes to address this further please do so and we invite all of our satisfied customers to go ahead and post your dealings with myself and my families business.

We are a family owned and operated business and wish to make a decent honest living.
