Match.com writes fake profiles and uses the same photos.  I recently looked into a bunch of similar profiles (about 25) and found that Match.com is posting fake profilels ---- So if you ever wonder why someone isn't writing you back --- search all across the country and you can find - the same person with similar profile and pictures in other cities.

Remember if he is too good to be true ....  he isn't ....  Shame on match.com

In regards to they may not be able to reply

AUTHOR: SirGuy - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, February 23, 2011

The above poster made some very legitimate comments. But there is one point over looked. Match.com does not allow a paid subscriber to recognize who is a paid subscriber and who is not. A non paying member can not reply to a paid member's initial introduction even if they wanted to. That is a major flaw and as numbers go, most women are not going to pay to join a social networking on line dating sight.

One solution is make all members have to pay to create a profile so at least you know if you see a profile they ARE a paid subscriber and, if they choose to do so are capable of replying  but, we all know that is not how marketing works.  When was the last time you heard 'guys get in free, guys half price drinks, ladies only a $10 cover'.

The other thing to remember is, like restaurants or the hottest spot in town, it changes in time. The Lime Light is not in the lime light anymore. Dating sights come and go like dot com start up companies in the early nineties.

Be Well

PS Many  states in the US require that on  line social networking dating sights that offer their service with in that state to refund in full any paid subscription if that is requested with in a 72 hour period by the payee. BTY if you want to  end bogus winks flirts emails do the above 3 day trial, subscribe then cancel per the laws of your state.

PS PS to the original poster  >>> the same person with similar profile and pictures in other cities <<< stolen and copied PICs is quite common. Look for the profiles with the user picture holding a current newspaper standing in front of their town hall. A bit more time consuming to spoof

So?

What are the names of the "similar" profiles?

I am not saying that there are not similar profiles, but what proof do you have that it is match.com, and what proof do you have that they are the same person and not just "similar"?

Because if anyone can post a profile, there is no way for match.com or any site for that matter to verify the validity of any profile unless someone complains after the fact.  So it could be other people posting these profiles in the hopes to scam someone.

This is why you must use common sense when talking to ANYONE.  Because "similar" profiles or not the listing COULD be someone trying to scam you.

Also, while you may not want to hear this.  The reason there are many reasons that they may not be responding to you.   Match probably requires you to be a paid member to respond, so they may not be a paid member.  They may no longer be on match.com.  Or sorry to tell you..they may just not be interested in you.
