The sales rep quoted me a price for services Bluehost would perform to optimize my website. The sales agent asked for card information to confirm availability of funds but said he would need his manager to confirm the sale first. So he said he would go get his manager but then the sales rep came back and said his manager was unavailable at the moment but that he would call me back.

While I was waiting to hear from the manager I decided to do a google search on Bluehost to see where they were listed in the search. To my surprise I did not see Bluehost liste on the first, second or even the third page. So I decided if they couldn't get themselves on one of those pages chances are they wouldn't be able to do for my business.  So called the sales rep back, either later that evening or the next morning.  I got his voicemail so I left him a message stating I was no going through with their services. The sales rep called me back to ask why and I told about the google search and I said how can you do for me what your company hasn't even done for themselves. He protested and try to get me to change my mind but I said no I felt another company would be a better fit for me.  Finally he relented and said he put in the request to refund my money. So that's when I realized that Bluehost had already submitted for payment even though I had not spoken to any manager to confirm the purchase.

So, when I saw my bank still had a pending payment to Bluehost I called and spoke to another person in I guess customer support, I explained to him what had happened and he put on a good show trying to do everything he could to get to the bottom and get my money refunded. After ove 30 minutes in the phone with him I told him I had somewhere to be and needed to go. He said ok he would continue to work on it and send me an email with the resolution. I have yet to receive an email or other communication from BlueHost.

So I then decided to check to see if any complaints had been filed against them, something I should have started with, but again to my surprise I fould numerous complaints on Bluehost. It seems they have developed a practice of frauding companies of their money and they need to be stopped. I feel a class action lawsuit should be lodged against them.

Bluehost did not stop payment request and my bank sent the payment through.
