Matt Parker RIPPED ME OFF - asked for money to buy supplies, then vanished Durham Region ON Ontario

Hard to find good help.   I trusted this guy since he was older and said he was experienced.  Found him on kijiji.  Said he had real estate agents asking to renovate homes.  We spoke Aug. 15th.  The amount of work I gave him he said would take 4-5 days.  I had renters moving in soon so this was perfect.  He started ok, but took a long time to complete.  He had a helper who arrived to do some work.  When I got to the house, he had his kid and wife there. Used our microwave, dishes, cups, drank beer on the job!  Dangerous.  He was cutting flooring inside the house on a warm summer day.  He could have used garage as well. We had our tools that went missing.   He asked me for payment to order doors to be hung along with the total.  THinking this would be the ticket to get the job completed that was almost a month in the works, I paid in full plus the doors.    He disappeared.  Will not reply to my message or phone.  He has no business name, just uses kijiji.  The work completed is terrible.  The quarter round does not cover the flooring.  We still have lots of flooring left so that was not the issue.  They left a mess in the garage, left a big mess inside, simply nasty.  I would not recommend or use him to build a dog house!  Buyer beware on this guy.
