I had the misfortune of trusting Mike Hughes and his company Marketability in what I thought was a legitimate service. ( He has since changed the name to ETVglobal as hes running from complaints and creditors) The following is a summary of what occurred.

Marketability puts out ads marketing themselves as a company that matches clients with business's that will market the clients product or widget for ZERO cost joint ventures. This means the client ME only provides the product and the business connection markets the products and then the profits are split. They call is Zero cost joint ventures.

1) Mike hughes solicits $500 to evaluate your product. Mike hughes says that if he cant get at least one ZERO cost joint venture he will refund your money (What a joke) These so called ZERO cost joint ventures are all in house and Mike pretends to have meeting for business entities to evaluate your products. The in house ventures are in the form of print, radio, infomercials, etc But Mike hughes has it all set up before hand. Mike even has a web site full of junk products. Mike is so eager to get your money he will try to get you to market things that look like they came out of a flea market. Mike even sends emails telling clients that he knows how frustrated they are because no one makes any money except Mike! Read the first email Mike sent me about the frustration meaning hey people have you figured out that Im a con man yet?

2) Mike hughes makes you think that he is showing this product to a panel of business men when in fact everyone wins. Read on and you will see how this scam works.

3) Two days after he gets your $500 Mike calls you will his Bob barker voice and congratulates you on your amazing win. Meaning he has found at least 2 ZERO cost joint ventures. So now your hooked (literally)

4) Now Mike comes in for the Kill! His price to market your product is $1500-$7500. He recommend the $6500 program to me. I asked him what was the difference and he couldn't answer. In fact his reply was that seems like a question only an engineer would ask. Scam

5) Now you send him your money etc He then sends you this BS key letter that is suppose to have all of these amazing contacts that you find out later don't even know Mike or his business.

6) Once Mike gets your money he then hits you with your ZERO cost joint ventures that he got for you (Only to lock you in under deception).

7) Now you find out that the ZERO cost joint ventures cost you anywhere from $1000-$1300. (Hey I thought they were ZERO cost ??)

1) I'm sorry but I must respectfully disagree with your statement: I never told you that you had three zero cost media joint ventures for the patch. What I actually told you was that I had three joint ventures for the Patch and that the details of those three joint ventures would be sent to you in writing to read before you sent any money. The details of the three joint ventures have been specifically spelled out for you in writing which is hard evidence that we can review in arbitration if necessary to dispute your position. You had that evidence before you sent the money and if you do not believe me go back and review it right now. If you also wish to resolve this amicably as you say you do then why don't you go back and circle the part of that written document which you claim tells you that I promised you three zero cost media joint ventures? You won't find it because I did not say it. Also, If you go back and watch the Market-Ability DVD that we sent to you will see that every single time I talk about joint ventures I state very clearly that Market-Ability specializes in both zero cost and low cost media joint ventures. 8) I pulled the plug on this scam and asked for my money back. I never signed the original contract.

9) I had an attorney send him papers asking me for a refund. Mike hughes ignored my request so I had a third party post a report of what happened on a web site that reports rip off companies like Marketability.

10) Mike contacted me and said that those reports would not hurt his business and I was out $7000!!! Oh yes, I am out Seven grand and this idiot wants more!

11) Months later this con man contacts me and says Lets settle this like a couple of horse traders . Mike offered to refund me $3250. I agreed and signed a document agreeing to this and to not post anymore info about market abilities shady activities. ( I have provided this document) This is the only document that has my signature. Mike solicited me in MICHIGAN with this phone call as is the only reason I signed the agreement.

This is the email Mike sent me luring me to sign a contract to take off the posting about his ripoff. I agreed but did not know the site would NOT remove it. I tried and even make Mike aware of this. Mike used this as a trick knowing I couldn't get it off the net and used it to sue ME for breach of contract

Mike even went as far to say he contacted my local sheriffs office and DA in which I golf with. To my knowledge there is no law against telling people the truth and that is exactly what I am doing. I will continue to spread the truth about Mike Hughes and his company Marketability as they are taking advantage of people and misrepresenting there services. It's a waste of time to even go through such non-sense but this is just an extension of Mike Hughes and his pompous attitude. Mike likes to be the tough guy bully! I guess that's what happens when you know your getting away with making thousands of dollars and hiding behind some phony contract.

I have documents that show Mike hughes and his obnoxious threats and behaviors. Mike hughes is embarrassed that someone has came forward to expose his operation. I never breached a contract. Mike hughes is the only one that broke a contract and enclosed is my proof.

Update: I flew to Contra costa court for Mike Hughes scam. Mike sued me in small claims for breach of contact for not getting a post off the net which he knew I couldn't. I called Gloria Sanchez who is legal advisor and she said that the case was 100% non juristicional but I went anyway because I wanted to face Mike Hughes in court. When the judge called us up to hear the case Mike Hughes became the coward that he is because he knew the case was a shame. If not Mike would have been on it like he's on eating pizza and cake. Mike immediately asked the judge if he could speak to me in the hall way and I agreed. Mike immediate threatened to post lies about me on the internet. It was a comical site walking into the court room. There was Mike, all 4ft 11 inches of him. I hereby verify to any reader that you have nothing what-so-ever to worry about in working with Mike and his marketing company. You can count on the fact that Mike will see that you are provided all networking and all national mass media on either a low cost media joint venture and even guarantee one zero cost media joint venture. Mike does attend all the most important media trade shows to network to secure media for his clients and now even provides excellent online video coaching directly from the trade shows for his clients networking benefit. If I could simply remove these postings to undue the undeserved questions about Mike's authenticity and effectiveness that have been raised I would remove it if I could. I've learned the hard way that this site owner will never remove any posting once it is made no matter how unfair that it may be to any completely innocent victim like Mike. So I am now going to do the next best thing (and the only thing I can do at this point) in the sincere hope you will hold no lingering doubts about Mike or his company.
When I first decided to market my weight loss patch going on four years ago, I took on partners who are located near me in Michigan but unfortunately who did not know either Mike Hughes or his company. When the Michigan economy tanked so badly these partners panicked and began demanding money back from Mike even though he had already produced the 60 TV commercial. Against my will they began publishing things against Mike Hughes and his company on this website under my a name which was on the contract in order to attempt to leverage Mike to send them money. That was not fair.
Unfortunately, in any business relationship involving a number of partners there is always the potential for a misunderstanding and a dispute which should be resolved professionally through and organization such as The American Arbitration Association and not through an inflammatory website like this one. I sincerely hope that Mike Hughes and Market-Ability will please accept my apology for being dragged into our internal problem and for the false statements written on this and other websites by a viscous partner of mine. I herby retract them all and will continue to strongly recommend Mike Hughes and is company.
I sincerely hope that all readers will understand that these negative postings were only made only as a result of a dispute between me and my own partner here in Michigan (think of it like a nasty divorce between partners) his complaints were not caused by any legitimate dispute I had with Mike or his company. He was being very honest and candid about the challenges of mass media marketing I needed to confront, and always told me not to hire him if I didn't understand, the way they worked as a virtual Trade Show of media professional networking. After refusing to post this ridiculous letter of Mike telling lies Mike called my work and caused all kinds of problems. I then had enough and went to my local police dept to file a restraining order on Mike. Officer stump of the Williamston police dept came to my home. What I actually told you was that I had three joint ventures for the Patch and that the details of those three joint ventures would be sent to you in writing to read before you sent any money. The details of the three joint ventures have been specifically spelled out for you in writing which is hard evidence that we can review in arbitration if necessary to dispute your position. You had that evidence before you sent the money and if you do not believe me go back and review it right now. If you also wish to resolve this amicably as you say you do then why don't you go back and circle the part of that written document which you claim tells you that I promised you three zero cost media joint ventures? You won't find it because I did not say it. Also, If you go back and watch the Market-Ability DVD that we sent to you will see that every single time I talk about joint ventures I state very clearly that Market-Ability specializes in both zero cost and low cost media joint ventures. All you had to do was read the contract, as anyone should expect you to do, before you sent any money to Market-Ability. That was your responsibility and that is what caused this dispute to begin with. You know you should have read the contract before you sent money.

Matt was a stand out athlete in junior high and highschool were he played football and basket ball. Matt then went on to do some modeling. Matt at the same time was now in mens competition in bodybuilding and won several state titles. Matt has sold vitamin supplements for four or five companies and knows more than anyone I know about this subject. Matt discovered Yoshokai Aikido and studied it hard for 7 years and attended special schools called kenshu which took required three years of his weekends. Matt has also wrote two books. FTC: Products Worn or Rubbed on the Skin Do Not Cause Weight Loss

A company and its owner are banned from selling weight-loss patches in the future and will pay $180,000 to settle Federal Trade Commission charges that advertising claims for their weight-loss patches were false and unsubstantiated.

According to the FTC, Transdermal Products International Marketing Corporation and William H. Newbauer sold a supposed weight-loss patch to about two dozen domestic and foreign retailers, and provided them with sample deceptive advertising and bogus substantiation materials, including purported expert endorsements and clinical studies of their weight-loss patch by Marvin Kaplan. The retailers in turn used these materials to sell the weight-loss patches to consumers in the U.S. and abroad. The sample advertising made false or unsubstantiated claims about the product, including that it caused weight loss and that the main ingredient, sea kelp, had been approved by the FDA for weight loss.

The order entered against the defendants requires that they pay $180,000 in three $60,000 payments over 18 months. If they fail to make their payments on time or if they materially misled the Commission as to the extent of their ability to pay the order calls for a judgment against them of $900,000.

In addition to banning them from selling weight-loss patches, the order also bars the defendants from making claims that have been identified by the FTC as raising red flags for false weight-loss advertising, including that a product worn or rubbed on the skin is effective for weight loss; that it causes substantial weight-loss without reducing calories or increasing exercise; that it safely enables users to lose more than three pounds per week for a period of more than four weeks; or that it causes permanent weight loss. In addition, the defendants cannot misrepresent that the FDA has approved or is about to approve any transdermal product, dietary supplement, food, drug, device or cosmetic for its intended use.



Also, they cannot claim that any of these types of products cause weight loss or melt or burn body fat or affect the bodys metabolism of fat unless they have competent and reliable scientific evidence to back up the claim. Finally, the order prohibits the defendants from providing their trade customers with the means and instrumentalities to make false and deceptive claims.

The Commission vote to authorize staff to file the stipulated final order was 5-0. Senior District Court Judge Thomas N. ONeill, Jr., signed the order, which was entered in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

That's how he hooked "his Partners" into investing our money with him by telling us he knew it was a great product and that he done all research and had actual proof that it worked good.



Just when were all ready to start to running the TV airings and start making the big bucks that Matt promised us all. One of the wives is smart enough to find out more about it than Peck. She found out Peck didn't know what he was was talking about. That bombshell hit us all like a ton of bricks and how the FTC had Red Flagged his weight loss patch as a fake and how we'll all probably get in big trouble if we try to sell it at all on TV. Peck had to know it was a fake. He says he knows everything about health products so we trusted him.



So now everybody is freaking out and mad as hell at Peck about being such an idiot while he's acting like he knows everything about health products and always is acting like he better than everybody. This was all Peck's idea and he's the one told he knew everything about weight loss and how he studies products all the time. Some guys are really pissed off because he got us so excited for nothing.



So Peck tells us us he heard you can just start trashing any company online if they don't give you some money. He told us he was going to do that to Mr. Hughes to get our money back so he could do another idea he had. He told us to wait and he'd get us money. He said he'd threaten Hughes and cost em more money on this rip off site if they didn't give it to him. Peck's the one give us the BS about the patch and who lied to us all not Mr. Hughes. If anyone owes anybody anything, Matt owes us money. Naturally Mr. Hughes' TV company wouldn't give him money back just cause Peck's lied about knowing what he was talking about.



It drives Peck ballistic that we all think he's just a big mouth muscle brain now. We are all stressesd out here in Michigan because our economy is down the drain and our housing prices have fallen almost 30 percent this year. Some of us owe more on our houses than the house is worth and Peck is in the same boat as us. He is even trying to sell his condo now. So he says he's going to get our money back just to show he's a hot shot. So he starts writing Mr. Hughes and threating his company if he doesn't send our money back. I told him that Hughes does not owe us the money Peck, you do. Peck is the one who fell for the stupid weight loss patch and all the scientific evidence he told everybody he had, but didn't. Hughes produced the TV commercials he promised us. You are the one who found the phoney weight loss patch that doesn't do anything, Peck. You are the big Health Guru Peck who told all of us those things about it.



Hughes took Peck to court and won cause Peck was just lying. Peck couldn't prove anything he was saying because he just made up stuff like always and he knew it. So when that didn't work on Hughes, Peck tells us he'll get our money for us by running some new weight loss scam online about making $150 an hour and only needs six suckers at $2,000 each to get us our money back. I learned the hard way that if you want to know Matt Peck just think the opposite of anything he tells you like his VIP Health Success Coaching system.



When Hughes tried to collect the money he won in court he also demanded that Peck write a more Genuine Retraction like a legal document and all. Then Peck got even more uppitty because he lost to Hughes in court. So he sent a letter threatening to destroy Mr. Hughes and his car and his business and sent the letter from the GM plant and said it was from us, his own partners. Not himself.



Peck told Hughes his partners wrote all the crap about him online not Peck. Peck even death threatened Hughes in the letter but said was from us. He told Hughes his partners were going to destroy him and hack his back account online and then the dirty b*****d Peck signed the letter from us, not him. Like he had nothing to do with it. He goes poor Matt he's all innocent and everything was just the six of us and not him. Peck sent it from our GM work fax this time just so he could put this on us instead of him.



Peck thinks every body is as stupid as he is. So I called Mr. Hughes directly to tell him it wasn't us, it was only Peck. And how Peck is saying things about us that ain't true too, and how he's screwing all of us for money. I wanted him to know that when he goes to the FBI that Matt's death threats are not coming from us just because he says so.



Peck is doin nothin but gettin all of us in big, big trouble. The union is already pissed as hell because he's running his scams at work. GM is pissed too and took our fax machine out so Peck couldn't use it no more at work. Peck knows everybody is on to him so he goes files a fake police report that somebody stole his lap top so he wouldn't get busted if they get a FBI search warrant for his apartment and get his computer where he's made death threats to Mr. Hughes.



Hughes called the bosses at GM. We warned Peck that we would call Mr. Hughes ourselves if he didn't stop threatening him and telling these lies he writes about Hughes and us too. GM couldn't prove Peck sent it from work because Peck signed it being from us his Partners. Our wives told us to call Mr. Hughes to apologize and tell him all about what Peck was doing to him and threatening him to get money was just wrong.



After the US Government investigation into his weight loss patch started Peck panicked and didn't want to risk putting it on TV anymore and go broke getting fined by the FTC for lying, so we tell him he still owes us the money back he borrowed because he guaranteed we'd all get rich.



We have had to listen to Peck about this Weight Loss Patch for four years because he can't come up with any money. So some of the partners we've banded together against Peck so when he goes to criminal trial we are on the record together this was all Matt Peck's doing not ours as he claims. When somebody goes down for this its going to be Peck not us.



Even after Peck wrote the retraction about hughes he only starts writing more BS about Hughes using different names of people he made up like Charles and Joe and Anita. Look at the top of the one he wrote from "Joe" Peck wrote "Matt" at the top and "Joe" at the bottom. Juicing will drive a person lunatic like that. In the Charles complaint Peck wrote first he claims to be the brother and then he forgets and admits its himself.



Then the idiot signs it "Mat" on the retraction instead of "Matt". He can't even spell his own first name then he expects you to think he can write a book.



Peck had every opportunity possible to walk away from his mental breakdown but he can't resist lashing out at everyone he comes in contact with. We wanted to let it go and walk away. Hughes told me wanted to let it go and walk away. Not Matt "Roid Rage" Peck wouldn't let him, He trashed his own partners in the the retraction and then he wrote more stuff about Hughes. The man is a serial liar and cannot control his urges and impulses to lie and hurt people and their reputations. Peck needs a family intervention to get him off the juice before he gets even worse. Peck on a slippery slope into the Michigan prison system fast.



We are afraid of Peck too. He gets into one of those "Roid Rages" he might do anything to one of us. So we just told Mr. Hughes we'd tell the truth about Peck and if all this comes to light at a trial please say we tried to help. Mr. Hughes says he just want to move on but he's keeping a close eye on Peck.



Do not give Matthew Peck any information about you. Especially do not give Matt Peck any financial information such as credit card information. He has threatened people that he will steal their identity and devastate their life. (He has a web site mattpeck@info it's all made up stuff. You would be a fool to leave credit information or Pay Pal there or send any money to this fool Peck.
