 Georgia Law Code OCGA 44-1-13. This is the Code Section that allows the towing of trespassing vehicles on private property. What it DOES NOT do is allow the booting or immobilization of vehicles on private property in the State of Georgia. In other words, it is illegal to boot cars in Georgia on private property. This code also includes trucks. The law is the law and the police will tell him to remove the boot and leave. Also 500.00 is well over the cap for private property release. Either way they are not allowed to boot vehicles on a private lot! Call the Local police Department and they will have to remove the boot. Then get a hold of District attorney and file a civil complaint. Watch how quick the state will get involved.
