I received a letter from Maxwell Gates with an offer to stuff envelopes. I paid the one time application fee, a money order of $199.00 and sent it via overnight night mail to Maxwell Gates in Mendham, NJ. I sent the money order on June 29, 2011.
I have not received the letters or the envelopes as of July 7, 2011 although the letter indicated all materials would be sent to me immediately.

About the BBB
AUTHOR: Steve - (United States of America)

I agree with the comment about the BBB. I saw a news report not to long ago on TV about the investigations and allegations going on about how businesses had to pay so called"membership fees" in order to receive a good rating. So i wouldn't put too much stock in the BBB since they are probably shady themselves.

Maxwell Gates is the best I've tried

I'm disturbed to see so many comments from people who aren't participating in this program. Who are you to pass judgement? I entered this VERY skeptical, but Gates has turned out to be HONEST. I get a check every week and have absolutely no complaints. the material is very thorough, professionally assembled and extremely well thought out. It
was very easy to get started and easier to continue. I'm making a good dollar with this. Maxwell gates is the real thing and I recommend everyone buy the program. Its putting food on my table in a very rough economy. What more needs to be said?

The FTC & all govt agencies are a joke

if the program makes me money, why do i care what actions have been taken? Dont you know your government is full of crap and takes actions just to justify the use of your tax money? Wake up you fool. There is nothing in my experience to show MGE is anything but an upstanding, honest company. Ive bought other programs in this category. They were frauds, mGE is not. The government hates opp programs, always did, & will always target them, even if unjustified. All I know is every week theres a check in my mailbox from MGE. Keep calling us shills while we're depositing our checks ;)

Explain why there are 10 FTC complaints filed against MGE
Also explain why the Newark Attorney general and the Division of Consumer Affairs is suing MGE for fraud and deception.
NIce attempt to deflect the complaint against a deceptive, fraudulent company by attempting to place the blame elsewhere.
Is the FTC, the Newark Attorney General and the Newark Division of Consumer Affairs all in on this conspiracy (along with the BBB, according to you) ?
Someone's lying here and I think it's those defending MGE. They appear indefensible.
Nice try though.

Another sucker for the BBB
AUTHOR: Daniel Caswin - (USA)

Dont you do your homework? The BBB IS THE FRAUD. Obviously you saw the investigations that showed the BBB only gives good ratings to those who PAY to be members. They are being sued by many attorney generals around the country. The BBB is a completely WORTHLESS, scam operation extorting membership fees from innocent businesses. In all these years and hundreds of thousands of customers look at the complaint total on gates. it might as well be zero its so low. Open your eyes, I get paid by Gates every week

rates the business a solid "F". Somebody here is shading the truth, and I doubt it's the OP.
Here's the link to the BBB report:

I'll throw in with the OP and NOT do business with Maxwell Gates.

Ive used this program for a year and get a check from the company regularly. Of course you didnt receive it yet. What do you think they are, magicians? Mine took two weeks to arrive and it was well worth it. People online love to comment about subjects they have zero knowledge of. My paychecks are real, how do you explain that? When you people start receiving payments I have a feeling you'll change your tune

I received 3 letters the same day with different returned address, all 3 letters I've noticed had a different code in the portion that you sent back with your $49.00 fee. This look like a chain letter to me, where you sent the MO to Maxwell Gates Ent., then out of those $49.00 fee, the customer with the code get a percentage. Huuuum its something to think about.

i hav just received a letter from maxwell gates and can tell right away it;s a scam by the address, it's a p.o. box or a cash register, no phone # and anybody sending thier money should lose it, always check on the internet for background on anybody asking for money, i get e-mails all the time from nigeria saying they have millions of dollars for me and all i have to do is send the $50.00 processing fee, always check first.

Maybe YOU should think

As someone who makes a paycheck every week with Gates, im surprised by such mindless comments. Have you seen their materials? Do you think they produce them for free? Do they have a guarantee that you will ever even use the package they send you? Use your head. Of course they have to charge a fee. They dont know you from Adam and are giving you the same opp. they gave me, which has been bringing me a check every week reliably. That $199 was refunded to me after only a sho\rt time of mailing just like they promised. Youre obviously not a business person. When was the last time you saw a franchise being given away for free? Does McDonald's say "Well, they should start making money for us, so we wont charge them to come in as a franchisee".? NO. Its crazy to even think that. They have no idea if you'll even show up to work that way. If you accepted this product with no money out of your pocket, whats driving you to get the job done? I can tell you that that package clearly costs Gates a lot of money in materials and postage. Use your head before you post thoughtless comments. In the meantime, Im very happy with my weekly checks.

Why didn't you ask yourself--
What the heck do they want the $199 for? Application fee just doesn't sound right. Why aren't they using local people for this instead of doubling their shipping costs by sending the materials to me first? Let me see the results of a Google search for Maxwell Gates Enterprises. Hey look hundreds of complaints about this company running a work-at-home scam. Glad I used common sense before dropping two hundred bucks.
