In December 2001, I purchased a barebones computer with Athlon XP 1900+ processor and Soyo SY-K7V Dragon-Plus motherboard, including 256K 266DDR PC2100 memory from Mcglen.com.

Along with the computer, I purchased a new IBM hard drive, and the Windows XP Home Operating System for it. I purchased additional memory consisting of (2)pieces of 256K 266DDR PC2100 memory for a total of 768K.

Upon receipt, I could not load the Windows XP. I continually got the blue screen of death. This computer was supposed to be fully tested and Windows XP Compatable.

I have sent several E-Mails to Mcglen.com. No response! I got a copy of their "RMA Form" from their web site and included it with my email as an attachment. No response! I have not received any information concerning the return or replacement of any part or parts to date. It should be noted, I did receive one E-Mail from their personnel, explaining, that I had incorrectly contacted them and should contact their customer service at RMA@MCGLEN.COM. I made an error, sending my original E-Mail to the wrong area.

Even when you do send your E-Mail to the correct area, you still get, No response! This company and some of their employees along with its "ISO9002 Certification", which meams that they will out perform the industry or some claim to superior customer satisfaction, really doesn't know or care much about their Customer Service. Adequate Customer Service and properly trained personnel would have forwarded my information to the appropriate department for action. I wonder what their "ISO 9002 Quality Policy" states? They sure do not demonstrate it!

I promptly sent them another EMail requesting an RMA number. Still, NO RESPONSE!

The original installed memory in the barebones computer functions properly. The additional memory purchased from Mcglen.com, is not compatable with the installed memory, thus causing the blue screen of death. I have purchased the additional 512K "Compatable Memory" from one of their competitors.

The computer is now up and running just fine, NO THANKS TO MCGLEN.COM.

I have a two year warranty on this Computer from Mcglen.com. It's probably worthless. Even though, they haven't returned my E-Mails, they still take the time to send their sales promtions to my E-Mail address. They must feel I'll purchase something else? Well' They're Wrong! I hope this will save someone else the aggreviation from the lack of service, I received.
