Mediacom Cable Company Seems Impossible to Leave Chanhassen, Minnesota

Mediacom... Was a nice service until all the down time kept occurring. paying sixty dollars a month for this fast internet was alright until i realized sixty dollars was kinda of a rip off compared to other services. By means of the geographical location i live in, its either emarq or mediacom. But i didn't mind. What ever. I was a member for several years and i have payed them over 2000 dollars. Most customer representatives were either helpful, but in the end they seemed to not want to work with me.

So here i am now, i live in my parents house and we are getting ready to move. I sent an email to mediacom to report that my power adapter for my modem is in a box in storage so i will no longer be able to use it. Which they eventually called me again stating that i never sent such emails... What? so i told the story again... Im moving, i dont have my power adapter so you can take my word that i last used my internet several months ago. [continued below]....
..... Therefore no usage from me and i owe them nothing. Now i got in to a little dispute over what a power adapter is called, a power cord? same goddamn thing. what ever...

Thats only the beginning of this annoyance, check this. In the begining when i signed up when i was younger, they said i would get a free modem, but i ended up paying 20 dollars for a free modem hmmmm. 6 months later the modem doesnt work anymore for a week. So its broken i called them to report it and they gave me a address to go to, to get it replaced. And that place doesn't even exist! I called again, and they confirmed the same place. I gave up and said yea ok thanks for your time goodbye... I thought, what a bunch of idiots. I went to where it was supposedly suppose to be. But instead i found a park with fast food restaurants and grocery stores around it.

I told the customer representative of this and she ignored it.. omg.. let me talk to a man not a women first of all, no offense. Words always go in one ear and out the other with women and technical issues and they seem not to know very much about it other then what their job title states. You can tell alot abotu a person by what they say and in what order they elaborate in. in this case, Disorganized. But i was so caught off guard so angry... because i have to take a modem i payed for back that ended up breaking? I threw it away, i didnt know what to do with it. Send me to another place that doesn't exists? yea right... Look at how much i already payed them... They can get their own modem any ways... I just feel like i have been cheated cause i have bought my own modem which actually works. So yea,, im still signed up, still trying to find a way for them to go away and leave me and my credit alone. I have no contract with them, if they say i do, its bulls**t, i have been paying month to month ever since my 1 year new contract was over. So yea, Its unethical.

We are finished doing business with each other, im trying to leave, i payed them everything i owed even if it was a late payment, now they wont let me leave. I say we are even, but they beg to differ... What a load of crap. I just want to get this s**t done before somebody wants to buy my house.
