 A couple of years ago, we purchased several items from Mega Furniture.

All was fine; the price was adequate and we "thought" the quality was good as well... Simmons is a respected furniture manufacturer.

One of the 2 pieces in a furniture sectional broke recently. This furniture was not being abused and, other than the broken cross-member inside, is still in good condition.

 - Note that this Piece of furniture had a limited lifetime warranty on the frame.

Upon calling to let them know about the breakage, I was told to take pictures, so I did so and sent them the pictures.

After 3 WEEKS with very little contact or followup, I called them... they said Simmons didn't make that model anymore and they'd send someone out to see if it could be repaired. 4 more weeks, then finally we got someone to notify us that the furniture was going to be examined/repaired.

 - The guy came, took more pictures, and pronounced it dead (unable to be repaired)

We were told we'd get a store credit, so we confirmed that and went in to the store. There was NOTHING even close to what we had, so we thought..ok, let's just use the credit and be done with it. (at this point we were starting to get annoyed by the attitude we were getting from Corporate CS... the salemen were nice enough...)

We got what we wanted, MOSTLY. We had selected some dining room chairs which weren't assembled... They told us we'd need to go pick them up (an hour travel each way)

I just finished a call with their CS dept and was told that the manager had messed up... WE SHOULD HAVE BROUGHT THE BROKEN COUCH WITH US. (I had figured they'd pick up the broken piece and deliver the Chairs at the same time)

At this point we need to go and pick up the chairs, since the broken couch isn't worth their time to pick up.

The lack of Customer service is astonishing.
