Please stop and read!! Never ever take your car here!! I took my Land Rover to this shop on 12/24/10 for a suspected exhaust or head gasket repair. They assured me they could fix the car car-no problem. Not only did they not fix my car it is now overheating (which it was not doing previously), there is smoke coming out of the vents and exhaust. I've had to return my car to them three times and after each "repair" it was overheating within five minutes. They are dishonest and not qualified to fix my car. After the first attempt of them fixing my car it overheated within five minutes and my husband I parked it in a parking lot and got a ride home. We contacted the mgr who insisted he would have it towed within two hours to the shop. Lie number two!! My car sat in that parking lot overnight. After the second attempt, I called customer service in King of Prussia, P.A. I was connected with a man named Bruce Clarke. I explained the situation, and he sounded sympathetic to my situation. He asked me what I wanted at this point. I told him the same thing I wanted on 12/24/10, my car fixed.

I told him I was concerned about three things. First, they told me I was getting a 10% discount for using their financing. Strangely this discount was nowhere to be found on my receipt. He verified that I in fact had not been discounted and he would rectify that. I also stated I was concerned that my repairs were over their head and they were unable to fix my car. He said he reached out to the GM who insisted he himself would redo the entire job again. I told Bruce that if my car was not fixed this time, I wanted them to transport it to Land Rover, let them fix it and for Meineke to pay for the total cost. He said he reached out to his V.P who gave him a verbal agreement that that would be the direction they would head. Third, I was concerned about any damage that was done to my car as a result of me picking my car up on three separate occasions and driving it and it overheating.

After 24 hours, the mgr of Meineke called Bruce and told him the call was fixed and he test drove it and it was fine. Shockingly when I took my car to Meineke it took them 10 days to fix my car but they redid the entire job in 24 hrs!!! I called the GM who stated yes it was running and that he drove it over the Meineke in B.A so that they could run further diagnostic test to verify this. I called the mgr in B.A who said no that was incorrect it was still overheating and that they would fix the car-again. I also talked to the head mechanic, John, who stated that none of the mechanics at store 2004 were qualified to do head gasket repair.

At this point I am irate because they took my car to the Meineke in B.A with out my permission, drove it there with it overheating to boot. Not to mention after all of this I trust no one affiliated with Meineke to fix my vehicle.

After about a week of going back and forth with corporate and the mgr in B.A, the Meineke in B.A agreed to fix my car but they wanted me to sign a ridiculous release that would release them from any liability to Meineke for further damages to my car, i.e. the motor. At this point, I do believe the motor could be gone-due to it being driven while overheating.

I asked to speak to Bruce supervisor-no go. They dont speak to customers. I asked for the V.P and even his boss. No. I also requested to speak to the district mgr in Oklahoma. Nope they dont speak with customers either. And this is the person who authorized my car to be driven and to sign this contract.

My car is currently at Land Rover, which I should have taken them to begin with. The fully qualified mechanics at the dealership said that the head bolts were not torked properly and the gaskets were not installed correctly, which caused my car to overheat.

If you value your car and your sanity, Never Ever Take Your Car to Meineke!!!! They are dishonest-from the unqualified mechanics to the corporates in customer service! I have been lied to on too many occasions to list.

I fully expect them to screw me over and to be taking this to small claims court. I have also contacted the BBB, Yahoo reviews and Ripoffreport.com. I am thinking of picketing store 2004 until I get results. My next course of action is the local and national media. I have found hundreds upon hundreds of disgruntled customers. Something needs to be done. Don't be a victim of Meineke!!!
