I too have been involved with Melaleuca Aka The Welliness company.

I was told i could not use the name Melaleuca so for a while i have trained myself not to say the word. My exprence has been short lived only a couple of months.

Finally figured out that the only one making money was the company. I tried to bring others in and Thank God I was not successful. I don't want to be cause of anyone else loosing hard earned money.

The M.O.M. team everything i have heard from this group of women is praise praise praise. for the company they are like a bunch of little brain washed machines. I personaly got the feeling that they were like a Cult.

YES i said Cult. They want to set in on all these phone presentations and everyone is just like the other. Praise for the products. They are good products But a few of the women i have spoken are out there This company is there GOD and i get the feeling if you don't believe the way they do then they won't nothing to do with you. Although I did purchase the product and i have to say I do like them but not enough to stay with the company and spend $60-$70.00 per month or more. I just can't afford that.

My biggest problem with the company is that everything you want to buy from the company is now on eBay. take a look. just type in the word melaleuca and you can find it. From everything i heard and read myself this is breaking all the rule.

They tell you over and over again not to use their name and people are out there selling the stuff on eBay. I myself sale on eBay but i never used it to sale their products.

I don't understand why the company is not doing anything about this it is taking money away from the people who are trying to make a go of it. I've been told that there is proubly going to be a law suit against those selling and against eBay. We'll just have to see.

The company is makeing their money the ones loosing are the ones like myself who tried to play by the rules and not sell to the open market.

I guess i will have to wait and see if anything comes about. I did request a refund of my $29.00 I hope i get it. but again i'll have to wait and see.

A good company....

AUTHOR: Lacey - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 22, 2005

Melaleuca is a good company. It wouldn't have been listed in Inc. 500 five times if it wasn't.
A cult? Well, I suppose if Melaleuca is a cult, so is Safeway and Walmart. The only difference is Melaleuca's products are actually GOOD and I must say, I've never received a check from Walmart!

I've been with Melaleuca and the MOM Team for almost fourteen months now. I've worked the business side a little, althouh not as much as I would have liked, as I have three todlers. I have never received a back up order. I read the paperwork thoroughly (all two pages of it) and have never had a problem. People who fail to read what they sign often have problems because they remain ignorant of the company's policies. That is certainly not Melaleuca's fault. They have to assume that you have read the terms since you have in fact signed them.

There is a reason you can't use Melaleuca's name when advertising. It's a legal issue. They don't want their company's name to be associated with misinformation (much like what's posted here!). The only way they can make sure the info. you receive is correct is by making sure their name is ONLY on their info. You wouldn't be allowed to put a commercial on tv with Walmart's name either. Only Walmart can advertise their own store. Melaleuca is no different.

You have a problem with people selling Melaleuca on ebay? Interesting. I'm not sure why you have a problem with the company and not the individuals who sell their products illegally. Seems fishy to me.

Basically, I just wanted to defend a company that i have had a wonderful experience with. They have always treated me fairly and even gone out of their way to meet my needs. When my order never arrived one month and the UPS said they had delivered it to my front door (they did not!) Melaleuca sent out a whole new order, free of charge. I received two days later. My order is always to my home within four business days and the products have truly blessed our lives. I enjoy being affiliated with such a wonderful company.

In responce to Stephen letter I did get my money back I talked with customer service 3 different times and explained to them I wanted to cancle my membership. I as them not once but 3 different times how could I do this and they explained to me that I had to summitt a letter in writeing I did this and sent the letter so they would have to sign for it it took me about 2 weeks and they put my money back. I also sent back some of my products I was not given full refund back for those. I thank God I don't have the horrow story that some of you have had. I have spoken to several others who have told me some of the same thing you said. I reported to Melaleuca that I had seen their products on Ebay and was assured that they were going to do something about it I don't care who sales the products on Ebay I just thought for once I had found something that I could make a few $$'s my self. As far as Melaleuca doing anything about those who sale on Ebay. Well I don't think anything will come of it. That is going to be one heck of a fight Them against Ebay. Beat of luck I do hope you can get your money back and Happy selling On Ebay.

Melaleuca and The M.O.M. Team

AUTHOR: Stephen - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 12, 2005

I have been a member of Melaleuca for longer than Ebay has been around. I have never recruited anyone for the company, but I have remained a member for the benefit of someone very close to me. I don't need the $60 worth of products I have to buy every month to remain a customer, so I sell some products on Ebay. I have NEVER made a profit on the products, so no one should not be threatened by sales on Ebay. Since I've been to the cult-like Melaleuca conventions several times in the past 15 years, I am familiar with the concept and I think it is completely bogus and almost scary. The person I joined under has recruited for 15 years and makes just enough to pay for her own monthly supply of Melaleuca products. Someone would contact me every time I listed a Melaleuca product on Ebay warning me of the Ebay and Melaleuca rules I was breaking. That same person would turn around and bid on Melaleuca products listed on Ebay. I did a little research and discovered it was a M.O.M. member. I almost wish Melaleuca would cancel my membership for selling products on Ebay, since I haven't been successful cancelling it by making calling them. I purchased my monthly supply of products twice with Melaleuca, only to have them ship me a second order and deduct payments from my checking account twice. I discovered that I had accidentally ordered only "34 bonus points" worth of products, instead of 35, so they automatically shipped another FULL backup order and charge at least $60 a month more, instead of informing me that I needed to supplement my order with approximately $3.00 in supplies. In addition, about 3 years ago, I noticed that I was being charged approximately $30 more than usual for about 3 months in a row. I totalled the products to find that Melaleuca had been charging me for the regular price of the products, instead of the "preferred" price." When I called them, they told me that my membership was invalid, since my credit card had expired. They NEVER contacted me about this. Still, they were able to charge my credit card AND send me backup orders with an invalid membership. The products are okay, but the company is not.
