In June of 2012, I signed a 6 month contract with Zahand's Martial Arts in Akron, Ohio. The contract was for my son to take Jui-Jitsu, boxing and MMA courses. We purposely signed a 6 month contract because my son would begin wrestling in December and we would not have time to continue with the martial arts until the end of the season. Although i did read through the contract and some of the wording seemed confusing, i was assured by Zahand's that at the end of his contract, We would be free and clear to leave and the return whenever my son would be available to do so.

After fullfiling our contract, never once missing a payment, we again spoke with the Sensei on the school. He told us that it was a pleasure to have my son there and to contact him as soon as we were ready to return. The last day that we visited the dojo was on Wednesday, December 11th, 2013 and we have not returned since. The 6th and last payment was taken on December 21st, 2013.

No payment was taken in January of 2014. This was a clear indication to me that everything was settled and had been taken care of. Our contract had been fullfilled. In February of 2014, Member Solutions made a deduction from my bank account in the amount of $80. I immediatley contacted Zahand's martial arts that very day. I spoke with instructor Seth Sharp who verified that this was obviosuly a mistake. Again,  we had fullfilled our contract and not returned for a single class since early December. He told me that he would "Handle it" and get back to me. After a few days, he called me back and told me that owner Shihan had taken care of it and we could either be reimbersed our money or roll it over into whenever we returned. At the time, I thought this was fair and we decided to not press the issue because we felt strongly that we would be returning in the spring.

In the end of March, ANOTHER deduction was made from my account from Member Solutions in the amount of $80. Once again, I swiftly contacted Zahand's martial arts to ask them why this was happening and what i needed to do. At this point, we were confident that we would NOT be returning because we found these practices to be unjust. We wanted our $160 dollars returned and to wash our hands of Zahand's and Member Solutions. Once again, I was told by Seth Sharp "I don't know what's going on or why they are taking your money. We have verified that your contract is complete and that you have not been here whatsoever". I asked Seth to talk to the owner once more. After several days, I received a return call from Seth basically saying "There is nothing we can do about it". and "this is now between you and Member Solutions". Seriously? I was not once advised to contact Member Solutions personally up until this point. Our contract was through Zahand's, not Member Solutions. At least that was my understanding. 

At this point, in the end of March, I personally contacted Member Solutions and kindly explained to them what was going on. They told me that they understood and asked me to email them that we are no longer under contract and to sop payments which i immediatley did. I was no longer in contact with Zahand's martial arts because it was vividly clear to me that they had no intention of helping us. 

After this, I contacted my bank and explained to them what was going on. They filed a clain against Member Solutions and put a "stop payment" on them just in case they were to try to deduct money from me again. Sure enough, In April of 2014 they AGAIN attempt to make a deduction of $80. I called member solutions again and explained to them, AGAIN, that we were NOT under any contract and were not rendered services since December of 2013, when our contract had expired. By this time i had contact both Zahand's and Member Solutions MULTIPLE times. Both partied were fully aware that we had completed our contract. Both parties were fully aware that we had done everything that had been asked of us.

As of today, May 6th 2014, I am STILL being harrassed with dozens of phone calls a day as well as emails stating that we now owe them $240. That is 3 months of payments, Februray-April. All indications show that they will indeed try to collect again this month. I receive approximatley 8 phone calls per day from Member Solutions with threats of delinquency. In my life, I have never come across a more unjust and scandalous company. I can not get them to stop. I have explained the situation countless times. We are under no contact or obligation to them. We have fullfilled every aspect of our initial contract yet they still relentlessly harrass me for more money. They have gone as far as continuously contacting me at my place of emplyment. I cannot explain to them any further. We have done everything that has been asked from us. This harrassment HAS to stop

I have never filed or written any type of complaint in my life. I have never done so much as written a poor review on a meal. However, People need to be warned about Member Solutions practices so this doesn't happen to them. Shame on Member Solutions for these intrusive practices and shame on ZAHAND's MARTIAL ARTS for being aware of these practices and doing nothing to combat them. I urge anyone that is intending on signing a contract through any business using MEMBER SOLUTIONS to turn and RUN.
