Memolink offers points for visiting web pages of their sponsors. After obtaining 3,000 points (usually 2 points at a time) they say you can redeem the points for merchandise.

I ordered a $10 gift card for Applebees in May 2003. It is now November 2003. They still have not sent it. Their latest email that I received today said it will be "a few more months" the last time, a couple months ago, they said "a few more weeks"!

I have been to other complaint sites and have seen numerous complaints about the same thing! People have been waiting years for merchandise! How do they get away with this???

Isn't there a way to let their sponsors know what's going on???

I earned my rewards and never received them. They wasted my time and gathered my personal information

AUTHOR: Jessica - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, July 15, 2005

I have not received my rewards. I feel foolish for being taken in by promises of prizes. I am an educated person, but I think a deal is a deal. Isn't this false advertising? Aren't there laws to protect us from people and businesses who don't keep their promises? Can I make them give back my permission to keep my personal information? Can I take back our contract because they broke their end of it? Someone... Please help me. Who can I report this to?

Definitely not good business practice, but NOT a scam.

I am a member of Memolink and had the same experience, however, mine came to a positive end. I ordered a prize with my points in early December 2002. After the specified 45 days, it still had not come, so I emailed them and they responded by apologizing and saying they would send it immediately. Another long period past and still no prize. So this time, in addition to emailing, I went to "Contact" link on their page and called every number there until I got someone. I had to call at different times of day for about 3 days, as I guess they work odd hours. I left multiple messages. FINALLY, in April 2003, I received my prize with a letter of apology. They also upgraded my membership to premium status for one year for free, which allows me to receive 10% more points on average for each offer completed. Memolink is BY NO MEANS efficient and this ordeal was a hassle to say the least. I too though they were fraud. BUT in the end, they came through. So they are just disorganized or whatever other excuse they may offer. BUT NOT A TOTAL SCAM. Thanks for listening. My advice is to be VERY patient and do what I did, be persistent! :)
