Bought a pair of leather shoes online from a 'French' website, paid with credit card for around USD100 and postage. I am based in Europe so was expecting delivery relatively quickly. When it wasn't so, I contacted the company who provided me with a tracking number.

When I looked at the tracking info I suspected it was a scam, because the parcel originated in China. The parcel arrived, but with a declared value of USD10. The shoes inside were NOTHING like what I ordered and paid for, were cheap, plastic and frankly hideous.

I contacted the company to say it wasn't my purchase, they wrote back asking for photos, I sent the photos and requested refund, then the next response was to say, "we think the shoes we sent you are more cooler than the ones you ordered and hope you keep them". I almost laughed. I think this is a pretty big scam, and I think the factory also is manufacturing counterfeit goods, based on their website.
