Sold me an engine for a 1997 ford F-150 with a Windsor 4.6L.  I promptly paid.  When I eventually got the engine it was from a 1995 Expedition and not compatible.  I informed them of the problem and after getting the run around I got a story which seemed very reasonable.  I was told they shipped my engine to a different customer and I got their engine.  I tried and tried to get my engine from them to no avail.  They said they would get me another but never have.  I still have their wrong engine on a pallet and they refuse to have it picked up.

I filed a PayPal claim which was denied because they flat out lied about the situation and provided tracking for the wrong engine.

Sounds like a ripoff

"  What about all these customers who want you to give them everything and do not want to pay for it??? "

It seems to me that the customer paid for an engine and didn't get it.  Nowhere in your rebuttal do you claim that you sent him the engine he ordered (which would be a completely different situation).  You want him to pick up the tab to ship it back (not cheap) because you made a mistake.

This says a lot about the kind of company you're running.  Anyone buying an engine from you now knows that they may be on the hook for a big extra shipping charge in addition to wasted time if you make a mistake.

Reputable companies acknowledge their mistakes and make things right.

All I want is the engine I paid for.  I have never received the correct engine despite numerous email promises. I am out the money AND I have no engine.

Their breach of the agreement by sending the wrong motor does not make me contractually responsible to pay to ship back the motor for something that is 100% their error as acknowledged in an email to me.  I am willing to help them mitigate the damages caused by THEIR error by letting them sell it and ship from here within a reasonable time.  I also had an employee find a buyer for them and they didn't want to sell it.  This wrong motor that is here is their motor.  I cannot sell it only they can.

If the merchant feels I have lied about anything, they should state the specific facts they believed I lied about.  I am sure I can post a string of emails that back up everything I say.

The customer who says they never got his money back I never got anything back.  They kept the "wrong" motor, refused to send it back.  They lost their dispute with their credit card company because they never sent it back.  It gets better... they abandoned the motor at the shop where they were having the work done.  The owner of the shop called me and said he needed to get it out of there.  He told me he had a buyer for the motor locally and wanted me to pay him the difference of what he was sellingit for and what the buyer paid for it.  Of course i refused.  This guy is out nothing.  Had he of followed the rules and returned the product i would have had no choice but to give him his money back .  The credit card company would have done it for him.  I love all these sites where you can cry about some company.  What about all these customers who want you to give them everything and do not want to pay for it???
