Complaints against Metra's rude and hostile conductors are legion, but we riders have one thing in our favor: ALL METRA CONDUCTORS HAVE NAME TAGS.

Make it a point to read and write down the name tag of each conductor you come into contact with. If you have been insulted or have a real complaint against a conductor, write to

detailing your contact with the conductor. Do not send a complaint to the "complaints department"; it will be buried. That department does not report to you, but they do report to Mr. Derwinski. It's best they get their marching orders coming down from the boss. You might also send a copy to the Metra Board of Directors at the same address.

This is one way, perhaps the only way, to keep Metra conductors on the leash of civility.
