My first purchase at Metro Motorsport was about three years ago, when I bought an 95' XR 250R. The bike was street legal and had an Alaska license plate, the sticker price was about 2,900. The salesman I talked to reassured me that all used bikes had full diagnostic before being put on the lot. I purchased the bike rode it for less than a week before smoke started pouring out of the exhaust, not only were the rings bad, they also sold me the bike with no oil. I returned this bike for less than what I paid for it, and then purchased a brand new 97'KLR 250.
My next bad experience was when I purchased a 94'SUZUKI KATANA 600. Once again the salesman reassured me the bike had been inspected for all problems before put on the lot. Not only was the bike running horribly but they also sold me the bike without the title. Two months after that purchase they still couldn't get me the title. I returned this bike for the full value I paid, no title.
Then I purchased a 97'YZF 750R. This bike traveled from New York to Arizona where I became the new owner. Once again Metro assured me the bike had been checked. Come to find out it was never rejected when it was brought here, and never rejected when the aftermarket pipe was put on. along with this bike they also sold me a 2 thousand dollar NorthStar warranty which doesn't even cover used bikes.
A good friend of mine purchased a 2001 YZF 600R, then brought it back under Metro's warranty to repair an oil leak. It took Metro a week to find the leak and the only reason why they found it is because my friend went there and pointed it out. It took Metro over one month to repair this leak, which was only a gasket. When my friend got his bike back there were dents in the radiator, scratches on the frame, and the back faring was broken where it clamps.
