MF Micromart company fake check and fake come on from MF Micromart company Minnetonka Minnesota

I got on August 27 a very convincing letter from Micromart, purporting to be offering a gig as far as mystery shoppers, and a check for 1920 USD. Upon checking with Chase bank, the manager informed me that Micromart is a scam. Their website is down and cannot be accessed. More to the point the check is well forged, but without the ID verification as given in the letter, it is useless.

My concern is that the company may lure people into trying to cash the check as a way to get people to bridge access to criminals seeking to get bank account information for free. Do not respond to this scam if you get it.
