Michael Tucker - Delroy Henry ripoff Application for Financial Services Toronto Ontario

I saw an ad in the Classifieds section of the local Newspaper under Financial Services, stated as follows:

Need a car a house or a loan? We can help you! NO MONEY DOWN Call us 416-732-9997

I called the number and left a message to apply. The recording states, "You have reached the application loan department.." and prompts you to leave a message w/ your contact info. Well after I had recieved a call back and applied over the phone, I waited about 13 days and called back because I didn't recieve a reply back for my application. The person that I spoke to was a Michael Tucker.

There were three options: collateral, co-signer, and a deposit of $500. After recieivng the deposit for the loan amount I was "approved" for, he claimed that the loan would be wired in 2 hours, I could pay back on $150/month. I took option three and was given the information to wire the deposit through Money Gram or Western Union. The reciever's name: Delroy Henry in Toronto. I started getting suspicious because I had to wire a deposit outside of the U.S. I asked the person where they were located and he said New York, New York. I sought councel considering this loan business, looking into it further by calling 411 and tracing the number. The number wasn't even a NY area code. The fax was a different number as well: (905) 943-7615. The operator said that it looked like the number was coming from either a pay phone or a cell phone number!

I also found it to be more like a scam because everytime I kept asking for a contract, I never recieved it after supplying a fax number. It's like he was waiting for me to wire the money before I could get anything on paper.

I decided not to go further w/ this transaction and when I thought about it, it was weird that the voicemail didn't even say a company name nor did I ever talk to anyone else except for this person named Michael Tucker. I did give out my bank information but I did not give out any other personal information. If you see an ad similar to this in the paper - use extreme caution! Do your research before making the next move!
