MINI GETAWAYS - ABSOLUTE RESERVATION CENTER RESERVATIONS MESSED UP AND NO ONE TO CALL BECAUSE THEY ARE CLOSED ON WEEK-ENDS ripoff LONGWOOD Florida

I Purchased vacation thru want ads in local paper.Ask 3 times if I would have to view a time share and was told no all 3 times. Was told that they had 6 vac. to sell because attemps at a reunion fell thru and that Mini Vacations was handling the transactions.Cost was $199 + taxes and handling total of $239 with a $39 processing fee at the time we sent in our request for our vacation dates. My contract says No purchase or resort tour attendance is required; however you will be invited to view the host resort in hopes of you returning in the future.

My vacation was purchased June 6,2006 with 1 year from purchase to be used. My daughter also purchased one of the 6 vacations. They explained that they used a number of hotels and resorts and It was made plain up front to them that we would be using these vacations at the same time and did not want them if we could not be at the same hotel or resort.

We mailed in our request forms Jan. 25,2007 to Absolute Reservation Center, Inc as we were instructed. We did not here anything from them and could not reach them by phone. Mini Getaways phone would say it had been disconnected and ARC would put you directly on hold and after 10 to 15 min. per call I would hang up without ever talking to anyone. ( not toll free #'s) I wrote to them on Feb. 21,2007 and requested a conformation, but still did not hear anything. My daughter finally reached someone named Misty in the middle of March and was told that we had to go on the time share tour or we could not use our vacations.

After discussing this with Misty my daughter told her we would go and in return we were to get theme park tickets valued at around $100 per vacation. It was confirmed at this time that we would both be staying at the La Quinta Inn. Misty gave her the address and decription of the rooms. My daughter got her conformation the last week of March by E-MAIL and I got mine March 30,2007.

When we arrived they had us in different hotels, because we both had children with us that were spending Spring Break together this was unexceptible. Because it was on Sat. and they are closed on week ends there was no way we could straighten it out.

I rented a room in same hotel with my family and my $268 4 night room ended up costing me $715.

I have still not been able to reach anyone at ARC
