While vacationing in Las Vegas last week, my husband and I where approached by a CVS employee. We were offered coupons for several attractions around town for listening to a time share presentation. We agreed and upon completion of our tour were also given a pamphlet for a complementary vacation. The brochure instructed us to activate the offer at www.mailmethekit.com. This website is no longer active. I decided to check the company through the Internet and found several complaints of the same problem on this site (www.ripoffreport.com). Rip off Report lists a contact e-mail for the president of Mini Vacations who promises to clear the matter up. I e-mailed the given address (president@minivacations.com). It was returned to me with the message "Recipient address rejected: User unknown in relay recipient table".

The pamphlet lists the company as Mini Vacations, Inc., 3504 Cragmont Dr., 2nd Floor, Tampa, FL 33619. I cannot find any such valid location for this company. As I suspected, this is likely another scam. I am very disappointed that such a reputable company as CVS would be hosting fraudulent companies and have contacted their corporate headquarters as well.

I've worked for CVS for 3 years and I've never heard of anything like this vacation program. However, a while back my Store Manager was tricked by a group of people claiming they were authorized by the corporate office to offer free child fingerprints and missing children related stuff, when they were really selling different products. One of the shift managers called the corporate office even though the store manager had told them it was ok. Corporate had no knowledge of them and said that they needed to be kicked out.

The moral is that sometimes they trick us too! I would talk to the Store Manager or corporate office
