Mini Vacations ripoff Tampa Florida

We thought we had booked a cruise through MVI Marketing, A Division of Mini Vacations, INC for March 11, 2006 on the Norwegian Dream. We paid the initial deposit of $50 by check on 6/29, the requested $293 by check in 8/15 for cruise selection. and finally the $157 by credit card on 9/27 to equal the $500 total deposit. The final payment of $1249 was paid by credit card in November.

On 2/17/06 since it is 3 weeks before the sailing date I called MVI to ask about our tickets.....no answer. I had two numbers to call 813-765-4252 and 813-630-1841 ext 331, Jane (who booked our cruise). Again, NO answer. Getting nervous, I called the Norwegian cruise line, they said that we are not on their list of passengers and their cruise is completely booked.

So here we sit with our non-refundable airline tickets. We only have the one week off from work and can't adjust the week nor airline tickets to another cruise, and we are out of $1749!

We are trying to contact Ultimate Lifestyles of Branson, MO who initially sent us the certificate for the 'free' cruise through MVI, but of course we are only getting a voice message about their hours M-F, 9-5. We had called on Friday about 4pm.

We are not happy! Please advise us on what can be done about this.
