Mitchell Heating Air Conditioning And Duct Cleaning, Do not warrenty or stand behind thier repair work if they put in a bad piece of equipment in this case a bad run capacitator Greensboro North Carolina

Mitchell Heating Air Conditioning and Duct Cleaning replaced an run capacitator on 6/5/09.They charged me 277.91 for this .Today is 8/8/09 just at 2 mounths and the run capacitator is not working .I called to see if they would look at it .The man from Mitchell Heating and Air told me the capacitator was under warrenty for a year .Then he told me the service charge to come out would be 200.00 dollars.

So,the way I see it maybe they make a habit of putting bad equipment in so they can charge HUGE service charges.It is a bad economy now days so maybe I should not judge them for trying to make a buck.To all you people out there that work hard in my opinion I would never use them ,unless you have a very good knowledge base on heating and air .They could put a inexpensive piece of equipment in like 70.00 dollars worth. Then charge you 277.00 dollars to put it in maybe knowing they would be out on a 200.00 service call in a couple months.

I asked him if I could just pick up a new run capacitator to replace the faulty one.I was told IT DOESNT WORK LIKE THAT.So,the only way they would stand behind the warranty on the run capcitator I paid for is if they put it in for me .Iam not paying anyone another 200.00 dooars to replace a part they put in that is no good .If they had come out as a courtesy to back up thier work and found a differant problem I would not have a problem with paying them for coming out .THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THIER WORK ,note this is my opinion based on my purchase.I will never use them again.
