I have been in business and this industry for over 15 years without one complaint until this post.

I did not earn a solid professional reputation by ripping off vendors and clients. As with any business - there have been clients through out the years who have not lived up to their end of the contract in terms of the agreed scope of work and/or payment terms. This particularly client project was one of those situations. Full payment was not delivered to us and in turn to the vendor but other arrangements for the vendors services were discussed such as offering our free services to help make up the difference. The vendor did not take us up on our offer and decided to write-off the loss over 5 years ago.
