I Googled [Sharp Aquos LC-26D6U HDTV A site listed al dealers and best price. Mocos-Store.Com was listed @ $500. I went to their site and proceeded to purchase the product. Instead of the anticipate window requesting Credit card information, a notice appeard that instructions for payment would be sent to my email address. The notice instructed that I send $500 to Kenneth Poole Houston Texas via MoneyGRAM (an internet connection to locations was present for moneygram). After sending the moneygram, I was to fax the reference receipt reference number (95360335). I requested verification of receipt on that fax. I received an email reply that my purchase had been shipped and should arrive in 2-5 days. It never arrived. I sent an email asking for tracking information. No reply. I then called their 888 number multiple times...middle of the night etc. It was always busy for over a week. Eventually I received an answer machine and left multiple requests for a contact. I called Houston Information. No Listing for Mocos-Store in Houston. No business listed at the given address.

I then used my yahoo email address and a fictitous name and ordered a second product. Received the same information this time to send the moneygram to BRUCE LEWIS. I wrote him at contact@mocos-store.com asking how I would know if the money was received. Email replay stated I would get an email notice that the product was shipped and delivery was 2-5 days. Obviously I never sent any money. A couple of weeks later I received an email saying that my purchase request was still open. I then wrote that I was still waiting on the Flat Screen TV (specifics).

I did make a a complaint to FTC atComplaint@FTC.Gov and received a Ref No.

Dissatisfied with no obvious action, I contacted the internet fraud division of the FBI and made a full report. I received a reply requesting that I maintain all documentation if needed. That was some months ago. I regularly check to see if the mocos-store.com site is ever present and it is. It seems that it would be easy to BUST these people. VERY FRUSTRATED. Out of $500 plus the $45 cost to send it. Of couse, I feel really stupid for falling for such an obvious scam. Really wonder how much these guys have picked up from MoneyGram since it has been on line. Yours is the first site I have found to possibly make some kind of report and assessment.
