I went to Actors Rep a few months ago for an interview and they told me of all the jobs they had lined up . I fell for it and signed up and they sent me to their photographer in NYC and I paid about $300 . What i got is 1 head shot and i had to pay extra for reproductions . Then I , not Actors Rep had to send them out on my own . I never received a phone call for any job .
So i deceided to call the N.J Division of Consumer Affairs and I found out that Actors Rep didn't have a lincense and were fined a whole lot of money for operation illegally. I was shocked . Furthermore I saw and ad on line that they were casting for the movie Sopranos . They said it was in preproduction . I then called SAG and they said they are not making the movie at all at this time and if anything i won't be for another year .
I am completly disatisfied about this company and urge all others not to use them , you will only be wasting your money . Beware !!

Since Actors' Reps has started its branch in New Jersey we have received harassing phone calls, have read misleading and false information on the web, etc from our local competitor "Universal Talent". Jim works for them and has placed this report to maliciously hurt our reputation!!
We have offices in Los Angeles, New York, and New Jersey and we are expanding.
So here are the facts:
*Unlike Universal Talent we do not charge actors a $600 fee for us JUST to represent them. AND THATS JUST THE MINIMUM you will spend with them.
*As a matter of fact the only fee we charge is a 10% commission of what you are paid for your acting. You make $100 we make $10. We ONLY make money after you make money.
*Not only will Universal charge very large amounts of money for you just to audition but they will charge you a 15% commission. Not much profit for you.
*They also will charge you a $10 fee for a POLAROID picture as soon as you walk that you can not even use for professional auditions. They will also charge you a few hundred dollars for "Universal Talent" headshots which you can use to audition but promote Universal Talent by placing there name and number right on the front so the pictures will not be used by any otagenciesices.
*Actors' Reps is Licensed and has been active for over 30 years! We are the real deal and NOT A SCAM.
