I tried to cancel my home security service back in July of 2013.  I was getting false alarms and I was tired of the police coming to my house as if it was an emergency.

I called and received cancellation procedures. I was told that for my protection I needed to send in a letter.  I did.  However, it must have gotten lost in the mail because I was still receiving bills.

Now, after my recent phone call with them I believe this is all part of their 'game'.

I received a bill on Tuesday saying I owed $164.  I called on 4/24/14 and this number magically jumped to $204. I told them I would pay it off just to get rid of them.

I spoke to a person named Brooke and Brooke said that if I paid the $204 I could have the service cancelled as of today.  I then very specifically asked her, "If I make this payment today will my service end at the end of this phone call?"  She replied, "Yes."

I then got very angry and asked to speak to a manger because last summer I was told I had to send in a letter. The manager got on the line.  I didn't catch her name because she talked so quickly, part of their deception Im sure.

I told her my issues and she said to hold on while I review the notes on your account.  Next thing I know, I'm hearing ringing and I hear a man answers the line.  Again, another part of the 'game'.

I speak to Jose' and tell him that I want to speak to a supervisor.  He says they're all busy at this time.  I tell him I was just talking to one and then they sent me to you.  He apologized.

He then tried to go over cancellation procedures but wanted me to pay first.  I said I wasn't paying until I spoke to a supervisor.  I asked him to tell me the cancellation procedures.

He said that I must write a letter.  I told him that Brooke said I could cancel immediately over the phone.

He began to say that Brooke was somewhat correct.  That I could be given the procedures but cancellation was not effective until the letter was received.

I told him what I said to Brooke and asked him if she lied to me.  He kepy saying "ummm", "well" and "I don't think she lied".  It took a few minute but he eventually stated she did not tell me the truth.  She did lie and deceive me.

I said I needed to speak to a supervisor and that I was livid at the ridiculous amount of deception I had experienced.  He still said all supervisors were busy and I couldnt talk to one.

He said if I gave him my number he would pass it along to a supervisor and I told him I wanted to be contacted today, 4/24/14.  I never heard from anyone.
