Letter to Monterey Mayor:

Dear Mayor Della Sala:

I want to file a formal complaint against Monterey Police Department. I attempted to file a complaint yesterday with Monterey Police Department Supervisor, Mahyar Roohbakhsh, however, he refused to accept my telephone complaint.

Yesterday, I was publically assaulted and battered, publically humiliated and defamed, falsely detained, my property illegally searched and seized, and my privacy invaded by Monterey Police OVER A $3 NECKLACE I owned and sold on CraigsList!

There never was any probable cause for Monterey Police’s illegal search and seizure of my property which blatantly violated my Fourth Amendment Rights. [continued below]....

Monterey Police publically humiliated me and treated me like a criminal – guilty until proven innocent. The U.S. Constitution was thrown out the door by these bullies with guns with an agenda to perform unlawful shakedowns.

An attorney informed me late yesterday that there are three (3) other Craigslist seller victims all within the last ninety (90) days - same modus operandi.

That, now, makes four (4) victims within the last (3) three months – a clear pattern of police abuse! FOUR VICTIMS (and those are the ones that have been brave enough to come forward, there might be dozens more!) When does it stop, Monterey Police?!

Monterey Police’s terrorizing tactics have caused me all of the following, including, but not limited to: loss of sleep, exacerbated health problems, stress, mental and emotional anguish.

I plan to take any and all necessary legal action against Monterey Police Department, the individual officers, and City of Monterey for their egregious, ongoing harm they have caused me. I also plan to take this information to the media to request a full investigation of Monterey Police.

$3 CRAIGSLIST SELLER Assaulted By Monterey Police

CRAIGSLIST STING OPERATION GONE WRONG: Monterey Police Assault Woman Over $3 Necklace

MONTEREY, CALIFORNIA: Friday, July 12, a CraigsList seller was telephoned by an undercover Monterey Police officer posing as a prospective buyer of a $3 necklace listed on CraigsList.

The CraigsList seller was lured to a local Monterey McDonald's where she was assaulted, battered and publically humiliated by Monterey Police - all over the seller's lawfully-owned $3 necklace.

The CraigsList seller was advised by an attorney that he is aware of at least three other alleged CraigsList seller victims within the last three months harassed by Monterey Police.

The assaulted CraigsList seller victim has informed media she is considering legal action against Monterey Police.

On the off chance you have a legitimate complaint how about posting some actual details about it.
