This report is ONLY ONE of the many to come about this company. I worked there for over 7 months, collecting on accounts bought by the company. To be completely honest, the company (although made up of a few ner' do well's) appeared to be a good place to work. But, as time went on, things changed a great deal. I made calls to people who really should not have gotten them, because the accounts were (at time of call) out of stats in the states in which these people lived. Some calls were made, AS DIRECTED, to relatives, neighbors, associates, places of employment and any other places that would allow for contact with these people (known as debtors). The thought was "by any means necessary." If we could not get the debtor to pay, some of us would try to get that person's relative to pay the account owed. Telling them that, by them helping the debtor out at the time of our call, it would save them from being litigated against. This was and still is clearly a violation of federal laws!! Unless given direct permission by the debtor, we had no right to tell them anything more than our company name, our names, and contact infrmation. We found enough information on the debtor's credit report to tell if they could somehow get their debt paid...IF it was really theirs. If there were open credit cards available that they could put a payment on, we would tell them that they could do a zero percent cash transfer on that card to pay their account. There is no card that I know that will allow for that kind of transfer. Eventually, the consumer would see how interest they were charged just for making that payment to Moreno and Woods.

There is soooo much more!!!! So stay tuned for my next report!! OH!! Moreno and Woods now has a wed site that was recently constructed in order to lessen the affect of the negative reports sent in by consumers. That site will NEVER be able to stop anyone who wants to make a report against that company, because the internet is indeed an open forum that allows all of us to use our rights to explore every avenue of the 1st ammendment.
