Mike and the Salesman showed up at my house with the Kia and a van for my mother.  I gave them the money down for the car.  Monday my mother was following me to the lot in Apopka to have the car aligned and I have so much derogatory information I can't possibly write it all.

Had I seen this report before I went shopping I wouldn't be in the possition I am in.

I found a 2013 Kia I liked with low miles and my first question was, "why is it so cheap?"  3800 miles, leather seats, extra options.  What's up?

They let you take it for hours and drive it.  Of course they try and pressure you into putting money down or signing a contract.  I decided to wait.  I noticed the car was pulling to the left and I commented about it so Mike and the Salesman "showed me the autocheck report."  Mike scrolled down really fast over the negative information.  I said, "wait go back".  The car report did say the car had a minor incident/fender bender on the right front quarter panel.  At least this is what I was shown.  I often wonder if it was my VIN or anothers.

The other hits on the car were from the auto auction where it was sold. IT was explained to me that if the auto auction doesn't get the price they want they keep running it thru until they do.  Made perfect sense.  Mike even commented that if there was anything major wrong with that car, like frame damage, salvage, anything major, then by law there would have to be a red warning label on the car.  They must disclose this by law before selling.

I kept saying I need to think about it. I was concerned about the pulling.  I must have heard 10 times "it was just an alignment issue" and that I would get a ticket to fix it first thing Monday morning.

On the way to Apopka, one of the other 3 locations they own, my mother was behind me and she said, something is really wrong with your car, the front wheel sticks way too far out on the left.  I was also told by one of the Apopka employees that Colonial MCC does nothing but lie to people.  They don't even have an alignment machine.  Their cars have to be taken to a shop.

They kept the car 8 days.  Said it wasn't an alignment but a strut.  When I went to pick it up they said they put a spindle on the back.  I drove home, it still pulling, nothing fixed, and took it back to Colonial the next day.  They promised to take it to Kia.  They had it 10 or 12 days.  Said it was a bend strut.  Went to get the car and drove it and found it still pulling.  Gave it back to them.

The very next day Mike calls me saying there is nothing wrong with the car.  Kia put it on their machines and said it was "within the parameter of what it should be."  Their pleasant, helpful, whatever it takes attitude had changed all of a sudden.   I kept saying that car is not right.

Next day I went to Kia and asked what was said before I ever went to pick up the car and Kia said yes they brought it in and yes we told them it had a bent strut. But they did the work themselves and it voids your warranty. He also said they told MCC it may have other issues and to bring it back.  Which they never did.

Mike and I got into it because he sat right there and bold face lied to me for the numerous time about what happened at Kia.  Once I told him I had already went by there he of course had to change what he was saying to fit the situation.  He then claimed he told Kia they had an open check book to do whatever they needed to do to make the car right.

I said just give me my money back, or take the 3k I put down and if my mother's van she wants checks out as good put it on that.  I was denied.  Told that it wasn't possible since the lien holder had already paid them.  The bank says that isn't true.  That all they have to do is send the money back and tear up the contract.

I finally said I'm taking it to my Kia dealer.  Mike said I wish you would cause I'm curious.

My Kia called me shortly after I left and said come get this car we won't touch it, its been in a major accident, it has after market parts on it, and we won't fool with it.  Take it back and get your money back.  Take it to a body shop and they will tell you exactly what's wrong.  I was devistated.

I went to the complaint board at the DMV.  They told me a few things to do.  I pulled my own car history reports.  First one I wasn't sure if it was correct.  So I bought another one.  When it said the same as the first I then bought one more to see what it said.  All 3 were in agreement.  This Car is a Total Loss Vehicle!!!

I called the finance company, the original owner, and an attorney.  The finance company said I have every right to cancel the contract because of the information I found.  However MCC is refusing.

Mike of course is saying I'm reading the reports wrong and that the one's "the banks" use are ONLY car fax and auto check.   And that he doesn't care what mine say.  He also said I wasn't reading it correctly and that if the title doesn't say salvage, junk, or total loss then it doesn't count.

If you read on the internet it clearly says that unfortunately this information doesn't always make it on the title.  And even though it may not make it on the title as a BRAND it doesn't mean that its not a branded car.

I then again asked for my money back and was refused.  I asked to talk to the owner and his wife wanted to know for what.  I told her the story and low and behold if she didn't refer me right back to Mike.

Mike's biggest claim to fame is that he's been doing this for 25 ro 27 years.  Guess he's had that long to sharpen his tongue and get it real smooth with all the lies that fly out of his mouth.  He doesn't even have to think of the lie.  He has an answer for everything.

Con artists are so good you actually start believing their b.s.  They really have you believing you have the problem and that you are stupid, ignorant, and dumb.  I know better!!!!

I went and got the reports from both Kia dealers as to what was said/done.  Mike said they were both liars.  He said they tell people to return the car just so you will return to buy one from them.

He also said the car fax report says there has been no accidents reported.  I don't know if this is true or not.  I'd have to purchase one to know the truth.  However I'm not believeing this because of the reports I got offline and becasue I talked to the original owners and have the claim number.

He also said after this "yes the car has been in an accident however there was no frame damage; that the air bags were deployed, and the car had to be towed."  I think he said he got that from auto check.  Why wasn't that on the auto check report he showed me the first day when he tried to scroll by the accident info so fast.  I would have NEVER bought this car had that information been shown to me or told to me.  I'd have to purchase that report as well to know the truth.  He admits all this after the fact.

They claim now that they want to fix the car.  The salesman even said maybe we could put you in something else.  I said, no, I don't want any car from you.

Mike said, "if it would make you happy I will buy another strut from Kia and have them put it on so it will be under warranty."  It doesn't work like that.

I called Kia and they informed me that anything that WAS under warranty that was damaged in the accident, or that has after market parts, or that was fixed by someone else other than Kia is no longer under warranty.  Of course Mike says Kia said your car is still in warranty.  WOW he finally told a 1/2 truth.  It is under warranty but only the parts that are original from the factory.

So I took the car to a body shop today and was informed that the whole right side has been repaired or replaced, the front as well, and the left back quarter panel has so much bondo in it.... the 2 doors on the left they believe have been replaced.  The paint job is poor.  It has sand in some of it as well as run marks, gouge marks and is also sweating to wear it will start pealing at any time.  I just wanted to die.  I am sick to death over all this.

All of their explanations and comments are logical. They are very very believable.  So believable that they make you think you are the idiot and that you are stupid.  They make you doubt yourself at every turn.  They can explain your concerns away so easily.

I have just gotten over stage 4 cancer and am disabled.  I need a good car.  Who in their right mind would pay 19k for a car that's got all this wrong with it?

Always go with your gutt instinct  Run don't Walk.   I didn't listen to my reservations and I got stung bad, real bad.  I'm still fighting it.

When someone offers you an extended warranty on a brand new car that already has a 60/100k warranty something is up.  I even asked, "why would I need that when I have an awesome warranty already?"  This car has 3800 miles on it and you want me to buy a 1500.00 extended warranty? Boy do I feel gullable.

These people aren't the only ones.  There are so many crooks out there selling "no good" cars, so BEWARE.  Makes me leary about everyone.

Make sure you buy at least 2 vehicle history reports, take it to a body shop, take it to a mechanic you can trust.  And if all else fails listen to your conscience.
