Mountain high service dogs is a predatory organization that takes advantage of disabled people. They charge $10,000-$14,000 for a service dog, but they don't actuality *train* them, they expect you to do all the training and then charge you money for your work. That's what happens when everything goes well, but in my case the program led me to believe that the service dog would be trained. The first day I met the dog she peed on our floor, almost knocked my dad over and damaged a door by scratching it incessantly. Through the next few weeks the dog repeatedly knocked me (a disabled person) over, growled at all male members in the household, fell to pieces in public and chewed on my wheelchair. So that dog was awful, but mistakes happen so I requested a new dog.

The program refused. I asked for a refund. The program refused. I hired an attorney and sent a demand letter. The program forged my signature on a contract that says no refunds. We went too court, and i won the case but it turns out that the court does not help you get the money that the court ruled you're entitled to, and the company hid all of their assets so my attorney couldn't put a lien on any of their property to ensure I get paid. It has been over a year since I won my case and they're still operating and presumably taking in money, but they have not paid back a single red cent that our court system says I am entitled to. It turns out I'm not alone either. I have since met a second disabled person who won a lawsuit against Mountain High Service Dogs and they haven't yet seen their money.

So in short, this program will do wrong things and even when the court tells them it was wrong they make no attempts at reparations or even give you a "I'm sorry we stole thousands dollars from you!" card. Do not give them any money. Stay very far away. Even if you assume that I'm a liar and this is all made up (even though I still have all my evidence I won the lawsuit with) don't go to this program because they are over priced and under qualified. The program is not ADI or IGDF accredited. The only reputable and meaningful certification they have is a CGC evaluator, which is something all Petco's have (so you can get the same expertise for a few hundred bucks instead of a few thousand) and anyone could apply to be. They were also briefly shut down by the states agricultural board (this is not a secret, look at their facebook page over the last year) and the state doesn't even regulate assistance animals. They can't even pass the basic regulations required for pets.
