I run a law business, and was interested in advertising my services. I got a call from Movies Sports & More, and a slick representative came to my office to give me his pitch. He promised me that I'd be on the front cover of a brochure that would be placed in the Edwards Camarillo Cinema. He stressed that I needed to book that day, in order to get the best placement in the brochure. The total cost was $1,065 for a 52-week run in the Edwards Camarillo Cinema.

I made an agreement, and was even sent a proof for the ad. Over the next few months, I visited the theater several times, and never saw my ad there.

I made several phone calls and emails to National Advertising Center (I later learned that the company's name was Video Reporter, Inc.). They insisted that the ad was in fact in that theater. After checking it several times with my own eyes, I saw that it was not. They refused to give me a refund, and refused to communicate with me further. They explained that they did not get permission to put the ad in the theater (as they promised), but explained that they were trying to find an alternate location. To date, I've still never seen my ad anywhere, and have come to the conclusion that they have never performed any services regarding placing my ad anywhere.

Unfortunately, I am currently taking them to court. They are fighting this all the way, for some reason. When I get my judgment, I highly doubt they will pay, given their previous unethical conduct.

This company ripped off a group of businesses in Toledo Ohio.  A report was filed with the CA Attorney General in November 2009.  Can any one get the CA Attorney General to stop this rip off company.  This company lies in BBB complaint responses.  The complaints are not about them representing themselves as part of another company by one business; the complaints are made by all the businesses they sell to.  They are experts at fraud.  Reading the contract tells you that as they've verbally represented themselves one way and in writing disown that verbal representation.  Not one person heard the verbal representation, dozens of people heard their verbal representations.  These contracts are signed due to fraud.  As a lawyer, does lots of people from a different part of the country, Ohio, where they ran the same scam help?
