I have a message for these people, which I am sharing here since they apparently don't get it when they call. And, boy, do they call. Here it is:
We do not know John Barber. Seriously, we have NEVER met him. Ever. We did not know him the first 63 times you called and asked. We will not know him any more or better the NEXT 63 times you call and ask, either. Please lose our phone number and find someone else who is NOT fighting cancer to harass.

Write a Cease Communications letter stating clearly that they are to cease contacting your number looking for this person. They are calling the wrong number. Send it certified mail - return receipt (proof for court).
If they continue to call after they have accepted the letter - you can sue them in Small Claims Court for FDCPA violations
