I got a mortgage for $72,400 for a simple condo. I re-financed through the above named company. My payments were $481.39 a month. I made my payments religously and in a timely manner.

Come November 2005, I made my payment but didn't realize I had an extra .$50 on the money order. I reviewed MVB's website on my account and saw that Jan 1 2006 was my next payment.Cool.

Fast forward to Jan 2006. On Jan 4 2006, I sent off my mortgage payment and around 9 Jan I called the company to make sure they got my payment. they said they did but there was a problem. they messed up with my November payment(that extra 50 cents?)and called it my december payment..first off, who's freakin' stupid enough to consider .50 cents a mortgage payment? but the lady on the phone said it was an error on behalf of MVB, not me. that's right, I did nothing wrong.

Today I call again to rectify the situation, or try to, only to have the woman on the phone ask me "what did I want to do to bring my account to current?" I asked her how she figured "I" needed to bring my account current? she said, "well, we can't just let this go.." I told her I'm the only working person in my family and i have to explicitly set aside from my last pay period each month to cover the following months mortgage payment. So to end this tale of horror, I was told by her to look at my finances and see what I can pay to bring my account to current. we hung up.

Naw man, I'll refinance and take my business else where...be careful, businesses make financial errors that cause great deals of distress to families who pay their payments on time only to have the company come back later and say it's the customers fault and they need to pay more$$$ to fix their errors. Make sure you have done as I and have documented proof of their errors should the heat come on you.

Ok I got refinanced Dave. MVB had thier last dollar from me.

They were so ignorant of what I had done(the refinance) that they called me to ask for the march payment...oh!, so sorry but my new finance company made the payout in time...see ya MVB muahahahaha!

hmm.. I had no reason to question them

I know what your saying Dave but I had no reason to question them. My account showed that my next payment was due on Jan 1(back in nov 2005). So Around Jan 4, i sent the payment. they had already logged in my december payment by error, due to an extra .50 cents on novembers payment(they admitted it three times to me and my wife).

Anyhow, there was no reason for us to question them as we had a perfect relationship up to that point. so, on the 5th of Jan 2006 the day AFTER I sent the january payment, they finally realized they made a mistake and took that January payment, then stuck it back as December's. hence the problems now.

Doesn't make sense

AUTHOR: Dave - (U.S.A.)

You say that they missed December's payment... You're not an idiot I assume, therefore, shouldn't you have called and said, "Why is my mortgage payment not due for December?". You didn't do that, you pissed the money away, and now they want it. Simple as that. You will be reported as 30 days late soon, and you will not be able to refinance, plus, you will probably go into foreclosure.

It's mostly your fault here. Ya, they could've made a mistake, but ultimately, it was your stupidity that got you in the situation you're in.

MVB Sucks!!!

AUTHOR: Chris - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 07, 2006

I just got off the phone with I believe was Pia and she still tried to force my hand by giving up my hard earned$$ to fix thier error. I told them that there is NO way financially that I can bring my balance current.MVB Sucks!!!

Companies make all kinds of financial F#ck ups and expect the little turd customer to fix thier b#ullsh#t. I'm going to call my congreeman and ask him to start a bill to find companies liable for ruining peoples lives for complete incompetence. This has to be done as the government says we must be financially responsible for our selves. same goes for businesses...except your Enron companies....and MVB mortgage.
