We were given the free vacation after touring a time share resort. We sent in our postal money order as stated along with our form.
We were told that the dates we selected were not available and was offered the 7 nights of accomodations in the destinations they provided. We sent the letter back and selected alternative dates.
Again we were told that our dates were not available and was offered the same 7 night accomodation package. We again sent the letter back stating different dates.
I also faxed the company because the dates were becoming close and we had not received anything from them.
Finally I received a call from Sarah Coreman with MVI stating she did not understand my fax. I gave her 3 different dates AGAIN and have not received or heard from them to this date and 2 of the dates we picked have already passed.
I have tried faxing them but evidently their fax number is no longer good. I have tried contacting Sarah but she is always on the phone and her voicemail is not set up.
I sent an email to the company stating that we are requesting our money to be refunded because obviously we are never going to get this vacation. No reply.
I do not understand how this company can be in satisfactory compliance with the Better Business Bureau when they have had so many complaints of people getting ripped off and not getting their money back.
It is a shame that with the hard times that people are having these days they have to deal with companies like this and use their valued time to get THEIR OWN money back.

NOTE: Rip-off Report launched a complete investigation on this particular situation and found that Mini Vacations had no control over promises another company makes when marketing their vacation coupons. Even though Mini Vacations is not responsible for another company's actions, they have been giving FULL refunds to anyone who has contacted them, and has even given more than they should have in the name of good customer service

I received my full REFUND from MVI a/k/a Mini Vacations. I emailed bcummings@minivacations.com and gave him all my information. I also threatened to turn them into the BBB. He responded immediately and told me that I would receive my money within a week. Of course, I was skeptical but he kept his word and I did receive a check in the mail within one week.
